I put 17s on mine they suggested 205/40/17 this will allow you more room for a lowering kit if wanted, and it drives much better than the steeleys (OEM )

You can use either a 205/40R17 or 215/40R17 on the car fine. The 205/40R17 stays with the same diameter as stock. The 215/40R17 is just a little wider and a little taller.

It will affect the speedometer and odometer but nothing else. It is going to be 1/2" taller than the 14" stock tires. Speedo will show slower that you are actually going by maybe 2mph at 55.

and after looking at a certain set of Mugen wheels, i mihgt be getting them instead, which is fine since i wouldn't ahve to get new tires, being as the mugen wheels are only 15", which would also mean it wouldn't throw my speedo off any.

The air pressure is based on the car and not the tire. Just run what Honda recommends for the car. If I can help with the tires let me know.

Afternoon Ladies and Gents...

I ordered a Red Fit Sport last Wednesday and it should arrive in late June. I have a relative that works for the dealership and is going to hook me up with his discount for all the accessories I want -- one of which is the upgraded 16" Alloy wheels. Honda recommends Potenza 750 tires. Now I know next to nothing about tires as I haven't bought a car or worried about such things in 16 years. (I'm replacing my 1990 Civic Si with the Fit.) So I'm wondering if the Potenza 750s are the best tire for me.

I live in Indiana, so we have snow about four months a year. I just don't want to ride on something that won't be able to handle it. Anyone have experience with the Potenza 750s in the snow or have suggestions on some other tires that are more geared to all-year tires? I really don't want to hassle with changing tires twice a year.

The Potenza RE750 is classified as an Ultra High Performance Summer tire. You should not even think about driving with that tire in the snow.

I have Blizzaks for my RWD car for winter driving, and they change the complete stereotype of RWD cars being bad for winter.

However, for an all season tire that will see occasional snow, I still believe there is no better bargain than the Toyo Proxes 4 in whatever size you may need. They were great for me on my Civic in the snow and in the summer in size 205/45/16 with 16" Rotas.
