kumho 7-12's i have used em on 2 different cars and im goin 2 put em on my fit when i get my rims.... they are super dope in the rain and when its warm out they sick 2 the road like glue... and u DONT need 2 replace em every 3 months like other hi performance rubber plus they are cheapper than other name brands!!!!
Kumho MX. Don't mess with the 712's, they are crap. MX = cheap, relatively long lasting, MAX perf tire. They sell a 205/50/15 but I don't know if they sell anything correct for 16".
I have run many tires on my BMW M3 and the MX is my favorite. Bests many tires twice the price.
Choosing a tire is all about what you want from the tire. If it is just looks you don't have to buy the best tire on the market. If you are plus sizing almost all of the available tires are going to handle better than the OE tires.

34-35 is fine. As the recommendation is 32 psi, I wouldn't go 10% out of spec myself (+/- 3 psi). However, 40 psi is a whopping 25% more pressure, and 50 psi is 56% over!
The tire just says it can tolerate 51#'s. If you put that tire on a 1500lb car, like a first gen Mini, then it will only deform so far. Deformation is important to increase tire contact patch. Same tire, on a car which weighs 4000lbs, will be squashes flat at the same cold PSI. So, the tire manufacturer knows what the tire can tolerate, but the car that it's riding on DOES matter, a lot. Choosing a specific tire isn't rocket science though- same size, likely uses about the same pressure for a given car, if tire design is fairly consistent. If you Autocross your fit, and buy stiff sidewalled, sticky race-compound tires, the tire's likely gonna deform less than would a "standard" mileage tire. So the tire matters too.
Bottom line- Honda knows how heavy the car is, and how it was designed. They sought a tire to work well with it, and recommended a tire pressure. It's a starting point only. I'd recommend not going too far away from it- like the post above, +/- 10%- sensible. (Why less? Maybe snow/ice... Heck, I don't know...) OK how about +10%....
And you don't have to buy the same exact tire next time. If you buy a similar tire, do similar things with pressure. If you buy something different, the pressure probably should be different too.
I like to look at the sidewall under the rim- if it's squashed too much at recommended pressure, add air
The Fit and the Fit Sport do come in different original height tires. So the larger tires will work on the car and speedometer will be changed slightly but no damage done.
If we plan to install wheels/tires with different sizes/offset from OEM sizes, we should be aware of the result = possible differences between speedometer reading and actual speed, clearance with fender or brake system. Wow, good luck with that. Everything we show on our web site does fit the car and we have tested them. We also can tell you what size tires are needed to keep the same diameter as stock.

Well that is right. Running maxed out camber at this ride hieght in the picture below killed the tires completely in right about 4 weeks. The camber is around -3 to -3.5 and the toe is nothing close to stock... poor tires... But great handling LOL...
