SR20jet,
The offset for the stock 6J/15" wheels is +53mm.
I was looking at this Ings Honda Fit. It looks like it has '04-05 S2000 rims.
Looks nice!

Whoa....the offset on these FIT's are high, this is no Suby. With this in mind, the FIT can run 7" width wheels with an offset of 45mm-48mm or a 6.5" width with a 50mm offset.
Are the offset the same for the 14's factory wheels too?

Also there are not many aftermarket wheel support with very high offsets. Most popular aftermarket wheel applications today are around the 40mm and lower offset.

sr20Jet,
I agree that there aren't too many wheels in the offset range required for the Fit. In Japan some guys run 5 mm spacers to bring the offset up so they can run popular rims. I'll post some of the Rims that fit the Fit later today.

Guess the only thing would be ideal is to use 5mm or 10mm spacers to get that high offset.

Ken, what width and offset are you using on your car?

The width is 6.5 and offset is 40.

Try running 8mm or 10mm spacers to see if that solves your rubbing problem.

Hmm... Question? This would make the wheels go out right? So if I put 10mm spacers, my new offset would be 30?

No, it will push the offset to more positive, so it will be 50mm. Your wheel will be more flush with the fenders.

You're right.
But the rubbing problem that I am encountering is not inside the wheel but with a screw inside the rear fender that holds the bumper. This is the same problem with Myx. I was thinking of getting 185/55/R15 tires instead of 195/55/R15 to solve this.

Ken, since you are running 195/55/15's, you have a slight taller overall wheel diameter from stock. I'm assuming you had the 14" wheel option?
Rule of thumb when widening your tire width is to go down on the aspect ratio and you stayed within the ratio of 55. Try running either 195/50's or 195/45's.

Ken, you are actually right. Using a spacer will bring down the offset to 30mm, not raise the offset.

Ken,
The stock size 14" wheel is 5.5J/14 with +45 offset.
Yeah, your right about the offsets and that explains why you have some rubbing in the rear of your fit.
Some guys in Japan get wider rear tires to fit by bending and triming the sheetmetal where the rear bumper attaches.
Maybe this picture will help show the problem.

But this screw is the real problem that has to be dealt with if you want to have tires that fill out the wheel well or large sizes like 18"s.

That's a heck of a difference in offset between the 2 factory FIT/Jazz alloys. I'm assuming Ken's car was equipped with the 14" alloys, then he's good with the setup he has right now. Only the tires overall diameter is giving him problems. Go with what I suggested above, try same width tire but lower sidewall ratio, 50 or 45.

I don't think it's the diameter that causing the problem. I think it's the width of tires. I'm still within 3% of the original diameter of the stock 14" alloys. I'll just use up my tires then I'll switch to 185/55/R15 and see if this helps.

Wow! Where did you find this info? I was thinking of doing this but I don't want to touch the sheet metal. Thanks for all the suggestions guys!

Ken, even if you go to a 195/50-15(22.68 inches tire/wheel dia.), the overall diameter is 3/4 less from the over diameter of 195/55-15(23.44 tire/wheel dia.).

Ken,
I got the pics from a Japanese Fit site, EuroFit-R . I used to live in Japan and can read and speak a bit of Japanese, I'm sorry to say better than Tagalog. My relatives in the PI wonder about me.
But on another note, all the sheetmetal you would want to trim is not visible unless the wheel is off and you look inside the fender. Just remember to prime and seal any metal after you grind places down. On one website a guy tried putting on 195/50/15 tires on 6.5J/15 +38 rims and had the same rubbing problems. He ended up with 185/55/15 tires and had no problems and didn't have to modify the inner fender area. But he ended up changing to 195/45/16 tires on 7.5J/16 +38 rims
Comparison of stock 175/65/14 next to 195/45/15 tires. If you are going to stay with 15" wheels I would get the 185/55/15 tires.
