+40 offset or higher is your safest bet, the rubbing is all due to what the offset is. that seems to be the no wheel rub range on our cars. it would also depend on your tire, but i don't know much about how the sizes run on those
even if there is rubbing on a 16" wheel, camber can be adjusted to fix that.
well.. obviously research hasn't been done too thoroughly if you can't find a decently priced wheel with that.
Try, Rota and Nippon wheels. Drag also, even Motegi as stated above. Very good, very cheap, they make the same styles as very expensive brands, but they are forged and and much much much cheaper.
I had a set of that first wheel (Motegi Trak Tracklite) on order. They currently aren't in the country. It was taking a little long so I ordered something else from Japan myself.

I'm actually buying a set of rotas. I know several people with them that have had no problems. They're light and they look great, plus you can snag a set for the same price you could get one of those high end ones.

rotas are fine... they are strong for being cast wheels. only seen 1 set crack, but it was on autocross.
nippon and drag are not, had a buddy with a set of nippon who cracked 3 wheels in less then 6 month. and he drives slow and careful in a corolla...
i've also personally cracked/bent a couple of cast wheels, but the last 3 years, i've driven on forged wheels, havent had a problem...
ok thanks for that bit of information. nippons were looking a little tempting due to their price and good looks too. I also just found out that OBX makes them, so its no wonder really.
I imagine motegi and enkei make some pretty good cast wheels too. A couple of those caught my fancy... and also for a nice price. I'd buy a set of forged wheels if I could find a nice looking set of 16 inchers under $800, but I haven't yet....
18 inches on my dropped fit?! hooolly crap. i'd feel everything. i dunno though, i couldn't see myself dishing out a grand for wheels unless I were tracking my car (which I'm not, just trying to make it look nice and get a little extra performance .
Buddy Club cast wheels look pretty nice, are fairly cheap, and i KNOW for sure they are durable, and light too. I can pay $500 for a set no problem. Gives me money for some nice tires.
i got same size wheels and offset with 205/40/17 tires on them and they rub under hard cornering or if i have 2-3 people in the back on stock springs. Will need to roll your fenders a bit if you plan on lowering.
