i dun know they have the 1.4 vtec but anyway... the brake bub for vtec jazz is slightly smaller than the idsi... so its common to use spacer for the front of the vtec jazz to change rims... dun worry abt it

Thumbs up rim offset

thanks for the info , for a while i thought i was one of the few who put spacers up front on thier jazz/fit cause all the pictures i see of jazzes/fits had thier front tires tucked in under their front fender

why don't you get 16's?

15's - 16's mags are safe

For me, i didn't go for performance... looks matter... so I fit 17" DAD replica 205/40 (http://fitfreak.net/gallery/displayi...album=23&pos=0) .Quite heavy... but i seldom drove it for long distance... so no problem.

Well, like sr20jet said...depends what u want with ur car... performance/looks.

cheers.
That is quite possible the ugliest set of wheels i've ever seen. The totally ruin the clean look of the Fit.

I think 17's would still be too big.

You guys are silly.

15" rim question

Would 6.5x15 wheels, 42mm offset w/ 195/50 tires fit w/o rubbing?

Kkim,

You might have some rubbing problems. Stock wheel sizes are
5.5J/14, +45 offset with 175/65R14 tires and 6J/15, +53mm offset with 185/55R15 tires.

D-
Thanks for that info. It would stand to reason then a 6.5" wheel would require an even greater offset than 53mm? As the widths go up they seem to be pushing the wheel inward? True statement?

AndyK,

You might have some rubbing problems with 205/45R16's. I think the recommended size tire is 195/45/R16 for 16's and 205/40R17 for 17" wheels.

I know its a bit narrow.

If I remember correctly, the tire sizes from the factory for the Honda Fit/Jazz are 175/65R14 and 185/55R15. The right Plus 2 size would probably be 195/45R16.

Just sold my 300ZX with 18" momo rims... now that looked nice.

However 18"s on a buzzbox? hmm.

I'd much rather go 16's, maybe lower an inch but get rediculously wide tyres.

Just checked my lancers wheels.

I am quite happy with the performance of these tires, and the look of the mags. so i was thinking about keeping them if i decide to buy a Jazz, then trading the lancer in with 'new' wheels. Good move?

They are 195/50 R15, and I have 3 spare tyres of this size also... so i'm thinking it's a good financial decision.

For the looks, 15" wheels would probly require a lowering of 1-2 inches, or a pretty drastic kit.

Your thoughts?

hmm, this is a topic i really have never paid much attention to.

I have 195/50 R15's... by no means are they large. If i was to put them into the jazz would they be a pretty standard track? Or would that need to be altered +/-?
