You guys have tires now that actually are designed to wear evenly with negative camber right? I have started seeing a few here and there, can you think of any off the top of your head?

Contisports were the OEM tires on my Sentra SE-R specV. You don't want them. No traction and poor handling.

so reading through all this I come to the conclusion that a 15x7.5 44mm offset work equip 01 should fit damn near perfect on the car with 195/55-15 tires?

I'm trying to order some wheels and coilovers this week and think I have decided on wedssport SA90's 16/7 +36 (unless someone knows a place with 15" or 16" TE37 bronze in stock). From what I've read so far this is a very aggressive offset on a fit, but I cannot find it in a larger offset for this wheel.
I know there are some people on this forum running this wheel but so far have been unable to find any specs on their setup. I am willing to get my fenders rolled while they are on order if this will make it work, if it even will at all.

Nitto is advertising such a tire. Never have used them so I can't comment on how they wear or handle.

From their website:

The Neo Gen® is an all-season ultra-high performance radial specifically engineered for lowered vehicles. Because the inner shoulder is one continuous block, the tread maintains stability on lowered vehicles with higher degrees of negative camber. This stability reduces tread flex and allows the tire to wear more evenly.* The result is a tire with prolonged performance* on lowered vehicles.

* Compared to NT450

Performance Rating: V W
UTQG Treadwear: 280
Traction: AA
Temperature: A

Hello fellow FitFreaks,

I found a set of rims that looked great, but I'm not sure if it will work out. They are 15x7" +35mm offset. I will put 205/50 tires on the rims. And right now I'm on stock supension, but I have GF210 that I'll be putting on in the future. Was wondering if this will rub or cause extra wear on the tires or any kind of problems.

Thanks for your help.

Go with a 195 tire. Less rubbing

The 38mm offset may rub especially if you lower the car. We recommend 40mm + for the 15X7 wheels. If I can help let me know.

How low are planning to drop? I say Go with 195's... I have 15x6.5 +35's wrapped in 205/50's, am dumped on the T1R susspension with all four fenders rolled, the rear bumper bracket filed down and I'm running -2 camber up front. Only thing that rubs now is the rear bumper bracket.

fitment question

i have been shopping around for wheels, but after a bit of research it seems the that i wont have as much flexibility with offset and width. it seems that the fit cannot fit [har har] much more tire without quite a bit of coaxing. plus, fender rolling is an ordeal in and of itself because the fenders are divided between multiple panels.

ideally, i would have liked to run something like a 15x8 with a 225. however, it seems like 15x7.5 would require some work even with a 195. in any case, onto my real questions:

would i be able to fit a 15x7.5 +38 with the stock dunlops [without rub]. what would be my main areas of concern regarding rub?

would i be able to fit a 15x6.5 +35 with the stock dunlops?

i found two quality setups for fairly cheap, however - i dont want to waste my money on a set-up that isnt going to be practical for dailying - especially since i commonly carry gear/people.

thanks!

New mags

I want to put new mags on my Fit...
they are only 15" but the tires that come with it are Falken Azenis 205/50/Zr15... and i'm most worried about the 205mm...
will it Fit?
Will i have to change my suspension settings or add spacers?
P.S. i think that the offset is +40 but i'm checking with the seller to be sure... the wheels are könig ultra light weights...

I have those tires and they are wearing well by comparison with my other tires I have used. (they'll be worn out at 20K) They have shown good cornering abilities on my favorite corners.

Can you use TireRack and DiscountTireDirect ? Many other internet sources too. All have phone numbers if you don't have internet.

Our experience says 38 mm offset with 16x7 wheels will absolutely rub with 205's and probably with 195's at anything like 23.5" diameter.

Count on rubbing like the dickens.

42 mm minimum offset stock and 45 mm when dropped is the rule here for 205 section tires of ca 23.5" diamter.
