seems like there is alot of knowledge in here SO PLEASE HELP.
I've decided I want to go with a 16x7 wheel. i have seen a 40 and 43 offset in some wheels I like. I also plan on putting the eibach pro kit on it which is i believe 1.5 in the front and 1" drop in the rear. and I would be running 205/45/16. can anyone tell me if im going to be rubbing or..?
thanks so much in advance for the help.
also a larger positive offset (ie +43 over +38) would mean the wheel sticks further out from the fenderwell, am I correct?

I think you will be alright with that set up im running the same tire size with a +42 and dont rub. For offset the lower the number, the farther it will stick out from the Fender.
The 16X7 wheels would be fine with the 205/45R16. If you are lowering the car you may need to run a little more negative camber. If I can help let me know.

hey guys im looking into a set of BBS RS wheels. id really like to get some 17s, but im only finding them in 17x8. would a 17x8 with the right offset work? if so what offset would you guys recommend?
fender rolling wouldnt be a problem to correct any rubbing. id also be lowering the car at some point as well.
you will definitely need to roll the rear fender. yo will get super close with the front fender, as long as you do the fender trick you should be fine.
but the rear....yeah either cut it off or roll it.
good luck. well the lower you get, the more the wheel cambers...and remember you have to BE SLAMMED to make 17's look good.

Without doing fender modification I don't think you are going to make that wheel fit. I also don't ever remember them making a 4-100 bolt pattern in that wheel. They have been discontinued for a long time.

No. The less the offset the further out from the hub the wheel will be. The greater offset moves the wheel inwards. The 16x7 wheel with 43 mm offset is good stock height with 205/45x16 tires but if you lower an 08 you will likely get rubbing.
If you are dropping an 08 then the 16x7/45 wheels and 25/45x16 tires are your choice.
i have 15x7.5/40 offset konig networks on the stock 07 sport tires. i am lowering the car on eibach sportline, 2.0" drop in the front and 1.8" drop in the rear.
i have been told i will rub. how will i need to go about fixing this once it is dropped? will i need to rent a fender roller of some sort and a heat gun?
this is the first time i have swapped out rims on a car and the first time lowering it. any help would be apperciated so i wont be suprised when i go to do the job. thanks.
