And yes, 45 mm is ideal because it gives some room to lower if not too much. At 42 mm if you lower you get interference..

Just a follow up on my posts & questions about fitment for 15x7 +38...
Taking a risk, I went with my original choice of wheel & bought XXR 501s in black; they are 15x7 +38 offset. I had them mounted on my stock Dunlops (15x6.5) and there are no rubbing issues so far. I am not lowered, but was told I could probably still do a moderate drop and be okay.
Thanks for everyones input.

Heres a pic of them on:

Let's say that I've got some 225/50r15 slicks, what offset wheels do I need?

I was going through these questions before. The offset that works is +45. 17x7 and 205/40R17 should do the work.

its not the wheel that rubs first but the tire.
If you go with 205/40x17 or bigger you'll be pretty sure to get rubbing. If you go with 195/40x17 you may get away without it but why use 7.5" wide wheels? Just cost more for no benefit.

Well the reason I am going with 17x7.5 with a 43 offset is because the wheels I am trying to buy are used and this is my only choice. But the wheels are worth every penny if they can fit.

They are going on a GE

You can use up to a 205/45 x 17 tire with those wheels. Install front camber bolts and run a slight negative camber (-1 degree or less) and you will have no tire-to-fender rubbing issues. BTW, my car is lowered with DF-210s.

Check out my ride.

Hey guys... trying to find some info on what fits the fit!

Anybody have any advice on a successful "flush" setup with these cars?

I'm looking at Advan RGII's in the 16X8 +38ET. If I use the stock tire, would rolling be necessary? What kind of camber adjustment is necessary if any?

Thanks,

Jim

I have some 15x6.5 et 42 konig heliums, and they're pretty flush, much more so than the base steelies were.

The helium looks like a CE28 right? What size tires are you running? I'm looking to fit something with a concave face or a decent lip this usually means more width and lower offset.

Yeah, there's no lip on the wheels I have. 195/55 on the 15x6.5. I don't really like lips on wheels, I prefer the flush look.

You could get a nice lip with some 40-ish offset 7-8" wide wheels.

The biggest we recommend is a 215/50R15. I would think you are going to need fender mods to make the 225/50R15 fit.
