And you're gonna go for bigger diameter and heavier tires? You'll be better off with a lightweight 205/50x15 tire or even 195/50x15.
The Fit has only 119 max hp at high rpm (much less at lower rpm) and weighs 2600 lb and has a high CG. Thats enough handicap.
If you're allowed add 1/8 " spacers to widen track and add negative camber if you can't change wheels also.
If you want to get real technical add 1/4" spacers on pass side and 1/8" on drivers side to even up the suspension camber with a driver on board.
good luck.

Need some help here~~~

Picked up my manual 09 Fit Sport w/ nav two weeks ago.
Lowered on Eibach Prokit 1.00F/1.50R...
Looking at TSW Trackstar4 17x7 w/ +45offset... (I am almost certain i am getting this one)
My question is... what would be a PERFECT size tire w/ no rubbing issues?
205/40/17? 205/45/17?
I am aware that Prokit offers just moderate drop.
Don't want to roll fenders, nor cut it in any way.
I don't wanna throw off the speedo TOO much...
Thank you in advance for all the help~!

Current Mods:
Eibach Prokit
HKS HiPower Exhaust
20% tint all around

Future Mods:
PRM Intake
TSW Trackstar4 17x7
Visors (Maybe...)
Mugen Shortthrow shift
Mugen Shift knob

We recommend 195/40x17 tires; the ones we've mounted here not only have no interference issues with 45 mm offset on 17x7, they run rings around the 205/40x17's of equal type tire.

Wow~!

Wow~ that was fast !!
so you recommend 195/40/17?
I've been reading your posts and you seem to have vast knowledge about wheels/tires. I will go with your recommendation.
I am going to order my wheels/tire package from discount****direct.
Do you have any recommendation on which brand of tire I should go with?
preferably all-season tires...
also what do you mean by they run rings around 205/40/17?
thank you

I had 205/40x17 on my Fit and the first one 195/40x17 we mounted for a customer, Yoko s drive, was faster on our little test course so I put them on mine.
Someone besides Yoko now has the 195/40x17's but at much higher price, Continential 3's that may be faster in a/x times but we don't know yet.

Just went to the site and the only one they had was the one you just mentioned; Yoko S. Drive. I like Yokos, but my question is... Is it all-season?
being 195 sized tire, would it still look good with 1.00f/1.50r eibach pro-kit drop? not TOO small?
I haven't got the allignment done yet after the drop. I am going to do it after I install the wheels. The guys who installed the springs for the did not mention anything about camber adjustment. Could you tell me if I will be needing camber adjustment or not? since it's not a extreme drop, I really don't think I'll be needing it.

add::::: just did calculation on tire sizes, and 195sized tire seem to be too small compare to stock circumference, which is 75.4 inches... would it throw my speedo much???? if 205 has no rubbing issues with a moderate drop, I wanna go with something that's closer to the stock stats. I am not trying to autoX or anything like that...lol speed doesn't really matter to me.

again thank you very much~!

15x7 Kosei K1
+38 offset

205/50/15's or 195/55/15's? (I dont want 195/50, too short)

I know the fit has somewhat of a rubbing issue when lowered, will be on T1R S-Coil V2's

I would say that with the 15X7 and 38mm offset they are going to be aggresive and may need a fender lip roll. The 195/55R15 would be easier to fit with the narrower tire.
If I can help let me know.

Actually you can , how much are replacement K1 Decals since you guys are a Kosei distributor? I just got a call from my powdercoater literally 20 minutes ago that they are finished, also, are they available in different colors than just blue?

(PMing you duplicate of this)
edit* actually looks like I emailed you as you have that option instead of PM

I am about to pick up some wheels today that 15x6.5 +32 offset with 195-50-r15 tires on it, I am not planning to lower the car anytime soon and wanted to know if I would have a problem with it on my base ge8 fit.

With 32 offset I expect you to rub. With 195/50x15 even they are risky.

I would think with that offset that it is going to stick out a little. The wheels we sell for the car are around 40 to 50mm offset.

Hi,

I am interested in getting Work Equip 03 rims fitted to my stock rock Jazz GD3.

My tyre sizes are 195/50/15 & 185/55/15.

What profile rim size would it fit to my car & tyres?

Regards,

We do not carry that wheel so I don't know what the offset is. I would say the best size tire would be the 195/55R15, The 195/50R15 is going to be short on the car. Depending on the offset you could go with a 205/50R15 as well.

When I do the calculation I get 23.14" diameter compared to stock 23.44" so the comparision is very good as the difference would mean 0.8 mph at 60 mph (1.3%). If you have an 09 the diff is 2 mph at 60 mph. Hardly worth the point.

As for rubbing issues its primarily a matter of offset. Stick with offsets 45 to 50mm and you'll probably be OK with 6" width tires and 205/40x17 wheels. Otherwise you have a good chance of rubbing.

If you have an 09 you may get away with it but not if you have 08 and earlier.
Why not 205/45x16?

I'd go with 205/40x17. Speedo error 1.35 mph at 60 mph, and acceleration and mpg will improve. Also it allows you room to drop moderately on 45 mm offset wheels.
