What about the increased weight by using a 17" wheel?

Because wheel weight is much closer to center of the axle its not as important as the tire weight unless you choose a really heavy wheel. Thats hard considering the weight of the stock wheels.

PS the farther the radius of a weight the harder it is turn.
good luck.

jim@tirerack is on a distinguished road
Sbteke,

I would say that the 205/50R16 could rub with suspension travel. They are over 1" taller than stock. I agree with the 205/45R16 and you should be good to go.
If I can help with the tires let me know.

Thanks i decided to just get 205/45r16... its just that my vendor was suggesting to go with 205/50 with the stock suspension but i didnt want to deal with any rubbing issues for future plans getting coilovers
