Thumbs up Just paid for yokohama's pasadena american tire company.

Bought my konig heliums from jlb.. didn't really trust them for install.. since never mentioned hub centric rings in quoting for install until i asked and they kept pushing chinese tires.. so not worth the discount + driving 2 hours total for install... I did buy the konig bronze helium 16x7 4x100 bolt for $380 cash..

so in my search for tires..ended up choosing Yokohama Avid H4s treadwear 500.. warranty is 65K +.. called initially "american tire depot" in glendale.. they quoted 85 per tire.. total with install (including 30 for switching out tpms) + taxes = 465 out the door.. but they didn't carry lugs... or have the rings (additional 50-75 dollars)... I called "american tire company in pasadena.. spoke with mike.. initially quoted 95 a tire..but just ask him the beat the price.. & he beat em' by a dollar something each tire.. no haggling..and he didn't look at you like wtf.. haha.. and they carried gorilla lugs and hub rings.. and he let me use the 10 percent discount!! on purchase printed up from america tire depot's (competitor's) webpage..

after taxes from american tire depot to mount tires and switch out old tmps.. 475.45... ( it's because lugs they charged 45 tmps 30 )
invoice reads..

76/cost each tire
2/each tire for environmental fee
13/each tire to mount balance.. includes free repairs on tires and lifetime rotation and balance.
0/valves
30/ one charge for tpms swap
45/ one charge for lug kit

subtotal: 446.00
tax: 29.45
Total: 475.45

i know it's not the best price on install.. and if i had bought a combo set of tires and wheels.. i probably would have gotten the lugs and mounting and balancing free.. but couldn't have tpms.. so i'm happy.. american tire company's shop was very clean.. and they seemed very professional.. i noted to them my worries if they damaged the tpms.. they said.. they've done alot.. and would pay to replace any damaged rims or sensors if an event like that happened.. hope this helps for anyone looking for tires in pasadena.. or nearby areas.. *note they're special order.. i should get em' in two days.. so far recommend american tire co. based on easy interaction and excellent customer service..

AvidH4's are wat i run on my 06LegacyWgn. they are noiser than
sumitomo HTR+'s on my other car, but they grip well for a/s tires.
it's an all round nice tire.

Probably right.. hard finding any tire that has perfect reviews.. for under 100.. was almost going to go for falken ziex 912.. which didn't seem too bad.. but i figure.. the tread life will be better on these.. trade off for 500 tread rating.. worth extra 10-15 bucks..? it seemed like more positive reviews for these yoko's and that overall people were happy with emh..
who knows.. okay i'm screwed

ps. any one looking for alloys or stock tires.. rims are perfect and tires have under 4000 miles..

yah, you made the right choice if vs ziex912's.

im on 912's right now and they suck in cold weather... like under 40F
in wet is the worst. this is the first Falken ive ever bought....
might be my last.
