Looking for a good 16" at or below weight of stock 15"

Hello,

Just picked up our FIT. Tried to STF but the search tool on here does not seem to get as granular as what I am looking for.

Our Fit Sport is Black. We want to go 16's. Looking for a nice wheel in this size that is not super heavy. Love the Honda HFP's but we have TPMS and this years model is very heavy (22 lbs). Not sure what stock 15's are, but I read something like 17.5.

Anyone with suggestions on a nice wheel in the $200-$250 per wheel w/o tires. The wife does not like most of the Rota wheels available in 16". Would be great to find a lighter version of the HFP style wheel.

Would love to go 17's, but this is my wifes daily driver and we don't want to deal with the decreased ride quality. The Fit is already enough of an adjustment coming from an Audi S4 Avant.

Thanks in advance....

EXWRX will become famous soon enough
The Enkei RPF1 I think will fill that hole
Edge Racing - Wheels
Coming in just over 200 a wheel the 16x7 is 4 pounds lighter than stockers. If you can stay with 15x7 it's only 9.5 lbs, and $169 each

I'm in the same boat. Looking for some 16"s and I'm not planning on lowering, so I was thinking about the HFP Wheels. According to Honda Fit Accessories - Genuine Factory Honda Accessories, made by Honda for your Honda. each wheel weighs 17.75lbs. I have TPMS sensors also, which you can get installed into the new wheels.

How heavy are the stock Sport wheels?

Konig Heliums look pretty nice too.

Thumbs up

WedsSport, ASA, SSR and Gram Lights offer some wheels that meet your critera.
Allot of them can be bought from the TireRack for decent prices. If you shop around you could probably even get them for cheaper.

Some of the models I think look good. TireRack prices.
  • ASA AR1 (cheapest of this group in both 15" and 16" sizes)
  • Gram Lights 57Maximum (under $250 for 15's a little over for 16's)
  • SSR Type C (about $30 over budget for 15's and $50 16's) A really nice wheel though.
  • WedsSport SA-90: ($199 for 15's and 16's)
  • Gram Lights 57S: (a little over $258)
All well under 20lbs.

I do not believe you can add TPMS to the '07 HFP wheels. If you can, I am all over those. I called Honda today and they told me that the '08 version of the HFP wheels weigh in at 22 lbs a piece! That's way too much for my taste. I was also told the stock 15's weigh in at something like 17.5 lbs.

I'm not sure either, but I would think it's the same as any wheel.

phenomenal avant! i agree, don't ever put it for sale!

i was going to say rotas or konigs, as they both are well within your budget, and most 16 inch rotas only weight about 14-15 lbs, which is good for a cast wheel.

but if you don't like the style, you don't like the style. some of the tire rack choices posted are VERY nice, but not all of them are available in 16's for our cars, like the asa's, because of the offset. (maybe not really an issue if you are not lowering, but still.) the rest are a bit over the budget.

go to jlbmotorsports.com and you should be able to find something that sparks your interest. hope this helps!

Wheels listed and in my sig pic, 15 lbs each, 199 from Discount Tire. Could possibly haggle them a little lower. Oh and they accept the OEM TPMS

Go to GrassrootsMotorsports mag. Their TireRack ad for wheels has both weights and prices in your range for lots of sizes.
And I recommend you leave the offset 42 min if stock ride height and 45 mm if lowering for any wheel replacement. DiscountTireDirect also has good wheels at low prices but only one 45 mm offset wheel. cheers and good luck.
