i've already run up past 28k on my odo, (in less than year he he) and the dunlops are not looking like they are going to hold up for very much longer. I thought i'd have my 16's by now, but lo and behold, i have little money.
at any rate, i was wondering if some folks could shoot over how long their stock dunlops held up, mileage wise. I know these tires kinda suck, and i don't want to hold off for so long that i have to dread driving outside when it rains. ( i mean i wouldn't really wait that long, thats just to show the dire-ness of the whole thing. )
lemme know how long they lasted guys! (and gals ofcourse.)
much appreciated!

mine have last 36k miles so far, i think i'm going to replace them before they reach 45k miles. it's about their time to go, i'm just trying to decide what tires to get next, or whether or not i'm going to get some wheels too.
mine lasted 38k. well, 2 lasted that long. i could have most likely gotten another 5-7 out of the 2 good ones

About 1000miles... I sold them after that.
My friends Fit has 18k and his are looking bad. I dont see how? He rotates the, often and he does the alignments himself. (yes, he can align good)
Dealership plan?
The Toyota Tires for life plan is just an inflated layaway after you add up the alignments and rotation/balances required.......

The original Dunlops on my '07 Sport still have tread on them with over 51,000 miles on the odometer. They have worn evenly, and still ride true. I think that they have been rotated 3-4 times since April '06. The tread wear bars are now starting to get precariously close to being flush with the tread. For the past month, I have been searching for a new set. I have finally decided on a set of Yokohama S. Drives. I hope to have these mounted by next week.

mine is still going strong after 18k miles, tho they r slipping a bit in the wet.. mine r bridgestone potenza standard.. hoping to change into the 16s soon, i got a set of bridgestone turanza waiting to go on...
thanks for all the replies guys! a lot of the reviews on the tire rack have given a bad rep to these dunlops, in addition to what some have already said on this site.
i don't need an alignment, they are wearing evenly. like i said, i've already logged 28k (well, its now 29 since i started this thread.), and i figured that for tires that seem kinda crappy, thats not too bad. i do drive a bit spiritedly and that never helps long treadlife.
i already ordered some falken ziex 912's...i know they are not the best winter tire, but the way the weather has been makes me feel like i'll only really need a 3 season tire anyway. i know guys around here that get away with driving bfgoodrich g sports in the winter (it gets cold but no deep snow) so i should be fine. they have a better treadwear rating than the stockers (360 vs 320) so i'm not worried. the reviews have been good.
again thanks for the posts fellas; anyone else, feel free to add

Yeah, you'll be fine. North Carolina hasn't seen a winter in five years (unless you're up in the mountains).
ha ha! i know right? i lived in asheville, which is as high as it gets here, and snow hardly ever stuck to the floor. it still gets super cold, but snow is not as big of a deal as many would make of it.
