FWIW, I think you may want to "bead blast" aluminum wheels as opposed to "sand blasting".

I have only done polishing lips on my old volk, took me ages. and it was hand polished too. i cant imagine with all the teeeny spokes of the sprintharts.

oh really... hmm. so just a bunch of sand paper and polish and time involved?

i am also thinking about painting my steelies. i can't afford rims until after the wedding, so i might have fun with my steelies for now.

correctomundo. sand blasting will do buttloads of damage to your wheel and would take waaaaay longer to polish with that. glass bead is what you want. Yes, there is a difference between sand and glass
