15" 195 or 205?

Which width is ideal for 15x7 Enkei RPF1s +41? Coilover is Skunk2 Pro-C's.

195 is lighter but 205 has that unique stance?

rpf1s with 205s http://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-p...ttle-drop.html

i have some rubbing issues in the front when i hit bumps in fast turns.. im on skunk2 springs. 195s wont have any rubbing issues but 205s will give you better cornering and an awesome stance.

Agreed. If you go 195, you might get a small stretch on the tires. 205 would look better with the RPF1 IMO

having 205's will not nesseccarily give you better cornering, as some people have stated that you lose turn in. also, your rubbing, so how can you be cornering better? cant say anything bad about the stance, it looks great!

Our turn-in and exit improve with 205/50x15 over 195/50x15's. So does lap times.

wouldnt a car dropped at the same height that doesnt rub turn faster the exact same car that rubs? because something is interfering with the tires rotation

rubbing = resistance = slower tire rotation. it seems logical.

Rubbing does interfere with rotation of the tires; so its slower. The more rubbing the slower you go.
There's a little more to it than that. Control can also depend on which tire is rubbing. If the outside front tire rubs steering will be reduced, making for more understeer. Also reduce turn-in.
If its the outside rear tire oversteer can be increased. In both cases the car wuill be slower; the harder it is to turn the wheel and tire the more power is lost and therein acceleration.

dont lower

or if you do, lower for performance, not looks.

for the rear it could be the shocks rubbing on tire or on the front it could be the fender liner or the A arm

205/50/15 would be the optimum choice.

Can you raise the car a tad to avoid rubbing or is it simply rubbing on the coilover body?

I'd go with the 205/50/15 and play with the tire pressure. They won't necessarily be heavier depending on the tire you get. After researching this quite a bit on my own I'd suggest Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2's.

If changing wheels is an option you might even consider a 15x6.5 and/or a +44 offset.

195 for me! for such a little car, with so little power, 195 is the best choice.
