Would these alloys fit my Jazz?

Hi Guys!
Basically I'm after a set of new alloys, I own a UK spec Honda Jazz and I came across these alloys.

Sprintwheels - Staffordshire. :: SW9 16" x 7" CHAMPIONSHIP WHITE 350.00 :: Alloys

However Im not sure if the offset is okay and wondering if I'll have any rubbing issues? I will be after the 205/45/16 tyres.

Many Thanks,

Michael

Offset is just a bit iffy...ideally you'd want +45 offset for a problem-free install. +42s like the wheel you mentioned still have a chance of rubbing on the rear fenders.

Every other spec is fine though.

Try a test-fit if you can. Things to watch out for are snagging on the front brake calipers and potential rubbing on the rear fender if you put the weight of three people at the back.

HTHs. Let us know what happens

Hey! Thanks man- it's good to hear from a fellow Brit!! Yeh I've actually ordered these alloys and get them on Monday- so hope the fitment goes well. I've seen your thread on the Jazz and I'm really impressed with the progress ur making on it! Keep it up!

Aye, sourcing parts ain't easy but it's well worth it in the end- this will be my fourth year since owning the car and I have not had any problems with it wotsoever! My first car as well! Anyways where bouts u based? I'm located in the north east- middlesbrough.

Haha, London seems a bit far for me, but hey you never know if I get the chance to go 'down south' I wouldn't say no. I'm also a bit short of funds after treating myself to some new shoes- it's been ages since I last updated pics of my car!

Just some quick questions- would some lowering springs be worth investing in or save up for some coilovers? Any recomendations on brands?

Thanks,
Michael

we need to arrange a UK jazz meet. that would be awesome.

im on apex springs at the moment. but they hardly dropped me AT ALL. theyre meant to be a 40mm drop.
im saving for coilovers now. all my friends are on coilovers and they give high praise, so im going for them.
im going for K-sports when i get mine. But i also heard BC-Racing ones are really good.

Yup we'll definately have to organise a meet one day.
BC ? How much would I be looking to pay for a set? I came across a set of Tein super street dampers for about £600 buy due to lack of
funds I never had the chance to invest in some.

I'm after a new set of aero blades once I get the £££, I did at one
point have some cheap ones bought off eBay but they were cheap
and nasty. I've seen u change ur blades to the aero types- do u know where I can get hold of some?

Michael

Besides the printed specs you need to know if the wheel 'dish' will fit over the calipers and suspension parts without interference. Its a check that catches many after market wheels.

And while you're at it check that the hub bore, or the hole in the center, is more than the Fits raided hub. If memory serves it has to be at least 64 mm, maybe 68, so check that on your car as Europe may be different. good luck..

If I'm not mistaken, they're replica EK9 Type R rims - so if they're designed to fit over Type R front brakes, I'd be amazed if ours posed a problem. Just double check the hub bore for your application, although Honda doesn't tend to stray much there. And yeah, the 42mm offset is borderline, people report minor rubbing in some applications. Very tire dependent, though.

I'm really tempted to pick these up for my first set of rims on this car . . . I see them over on Honda-Tec,h for $650 shipped in the states.

i emailed BC before and they said 579 for a set.
you have to contact them about them though as their website only shows the USDM fitting versions.

I need some new aero wipers too. Mine are ebay cheap wipers. Horrid and work horrid too.
Im trying to figure out if i can import some jap spec flat wipers off the MMC jazz.

oh and about the wheels again. the jazz's centre bore is 56.1mm. so your new wheels have to be bigger or the same in hub bore than that.
which im sure they are as theyre honda replicas.

Thanks Sam! yeh cheers for the reply! Sorry for my ignorance but what is MMC jazz? lol I'm well jealous that the american fits have aero blades as standard! do you reckon the wipers can be a direct fit to ours or it wont happen due to LHD setup?

Yeh the price on the BC coilovers sound good, hopefully by christmas i'll have a set! Decision, decisions, decisions....how many miles has your jazz covered anyway? I'm coming up to the 30,000 mark!

the mmc stands for minor model change. basically the facelifted jazz. anything after around 2004 is MMC i think. which year is yours? is it a sport?

as far as the wipers go, the USDM ones wont fit due to being LHD, which sucks for us.
i may just get some decent normal wipers with a wiper spoiler on the drivers side blade.

i should have my coilovers by the new year.
my jazz has only just covered 7,700 miles.
and its a 55 plate!

Hehe, nice - yup it's the 2006 sport model - ah well, do u reckon the GE blades would fit the GD then? Mine are seriously doing my head in needs replacing quickly. I've seen a few jazz's (GD) round my area with aero blades so maybe they are changing them at the dealers?

Anyways, looking forward to ur drop and remember to keep us up to date with pics!

I'm after a set of springs to go with my my oem shocks when my new wheels get here. Does ayone have any recomendations? I've been looking at the Eibach Pro-kit, are these any good? plus would I need the camber kit that is offered by Eibach

Thanks in advance,
Michael

i dont think you would need the camber kit unless you go super low and you rub. with springs and the wheels you ordered you wont need a camber kit.
but obviously if you want camber anyways go for it

i heard eibachs are good. im on apex's but as i said they didnt go low at all, although the ride is really good.
