BTW with the wheel size and offset you have, you will rub regardless of what spring you use. Currently I have 16x7 42 offset and rub slightly under hard cornering with 205/50/16. My recommendation to help with the rubbing you will encounter is to 1. Get a very mild drop if dropping at all 2. Run a stretched tire or another tire with a rounded sidewall. 3. Get a wheel with the right offset for your car.

reason your rubbing is because your running a tire thats to big.205/45/16 is what you need to be running

Tirerack is selling a 16x7 38 offset and they test their setups

so I won't be dropping I guess

I understand running my tire combo is more likely to cause rubbing, but at the same time running a lower offset will cause tiffany to rub as well. Ask Jamesbizzle about his setup. 15x7 +38 offset with falken azenis, I think his tire is 205 50 15. Rubs like mad.

If you get a 16 x 7 wheel with 42+ offset and 205/45/16 tire you will be at the very limit of what you can run without any rubbing. This is the impression that I am under with this car and lowering it.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeek, rubbing sucks, I may have to wait to get coil overs and adjust mine to the limit of no rub. I have looked for shoes for long time, and now I am set on these 16x7 38offset and love them.. My brother said I should not lower a daily driver.

I think I will go with swift springs for the smallest drop.

The Tire Rack does test they set up and is good about it, but they do this for stock cars. Not cars with lowering springs.

Get the wheels you want then work with the rest of the stuff.
Lower the car for sure!! See if you can get coilovers or save you money to get them, so many +'s
If not get the springs
I have TE37 16x7 33 et with TEIN coilovers. Nitto Neogen 205/45-16
offset of 33 to clear the BBK
Had to work on the F/R fenders
You can shave the rear fenders to bumper Tab, Black plastic, there is a screw after that, can shave both if needed. Use a dremel tool. File will work for just the plastic.
For the front a little harder, sqweese the fender at the lip. There are three black taps there. This is bending the metel above the tab up streching the black Liner
might seem like a lot off work, but not really.

NBP_Fit is on a distinguished road
http://www.swiftsprings.com/file/SportSprings.pdf

I would get these if I were you. It's the mildest drop I've seen from any brand, but their springs rates are similar to other brands. I think this would be ideal for daily driving/spirited driving. Its just as stiff as the other brands so itll handle just as good as the other brands, if not better, due to the fact it has more suspension travel from the mild drop.

It's what I would personally buy.

thanks
All spring sets have stated drops. The mildest ones are in the 1.5 to 1.0" range, that is, the chassis will be 1.5" frt and 1" rear lower than originally.
When you drop you need to be sure to do these things:
1. measure at top of fender arc the distance to level ground before and after 'dropping' on all four wheels
2. weigh the weight on each wheel stock to see which aftermarket spring should go on each side of the axle (naturally, don't switch front & rear)
Yes, that means you need to check free length at least to use the 'highest' spring on the heavier wheel load. If you want to be really precise, do it with driver and check aftermarket springs for spring rate (lb/in) and use the higher rate springs on the higher weight wheel load.

ALL THIS IS WASTED IF YOU STILL TRY TO USE THOSE 38 MM OFFSET WHEELS. The stock offset is 53 mm and if you push your wheels out 15 mm (0.6") from the hub there ain't room. Without driving try putting a 5/8" block on your hub and place your stock wheel and tire flat against the block; see where the tire tread lines with your fender. With the Fit jacked so you can do the 'test' its not exactly accurate because the hub is down and anglinr so the tire is a little closer but you can see the potential interference. The right offset is 45 dropped and 42 not. Go less at your peril.

edjosh23 will become famous soon enough
Nobody mentioned Tanabe GF210, that drop is supposed to be 1.5/.9. Is the ride stiff?
