T1R B52 CO vs Skunk2 Pro-C CO

Can anybody compare? I'm sort of looking for a set of coilovers in teh future, but I cannot decide whether I want to get Skunk2 or T1R. I like the T1R since they are camber adjustable, where as Skunk2 they're not. (Correct me if I"m wrong). I read way better reviews about Skunk2s whereas it's lacking reviews on the T1R around this site.

I want to know this too. Also, where can I get the cheapest set of skunk2 pro-c coilover? Lowest I have seen are around 1.4grand..

I got the pro-c's. Same reason you're stating, because I simply couldn't find much review about the t1r which I was looking at too. I'm pretty happy with the pro-c's I got. One of the shocks came in damaged during shipment. The top knob wasn't adjusting and then it popped on me while driving to work. But after talking to skunk2 they took care of the situation. Very happy with them, glad I ordered directly from them too.

well, if u were also looking into adding damper adjustment, you could just add t1r shocks to your springs, will cost less and give you better performance than what you have right now

im not sure if that's the same T1R's but from the picts ive seen, the
T1R c/o's springs are too short when the sus is at full extension
making the springs to rattle.

and wasn't it the T1R's that had issues with the front endlinks? the
swaybar hit the arm or something. might want to look into that just in case.

between those two, i would get the skunk2's. skunk2 should offer
lower spring rates though... as radar mentioned in the past.

But the T1R has camber adjustment, whereas skunk2's doesn't. lol.

Maybe get some camber bolts if you go with the Skunk2's?

yeah really i think t1r is about 400-500 more arent they? my camber bolts only cost around 20 i think and you are gonna need an alignment anyway so have them installed then.

Rear Camber shims are a bitch to install, but I'm lowered right now on T1R S-Coil v2 with spc camber bolts.

Is anybody running any camber shims? or is evreyone that's on coilovers just living wiht whatever camber they have on the rear?

i think so.

even if you are doing casual auto-xing, i doubt that the camber on your rears really matters as long as its within factory spec. (read-unadjustable. )

Noob question: Is rear toe adjustable with STOCK suspension or lowering springs?

Please if you have got any of the skunk2 and/or T1R, please read a review or some sort. Come on, how come NOBODY that actually has the T1R comments??

Hey man, I just recently got the T1R Bmax's and I think they're pretty awesome. I like the fact that I can hit neg 3 degrees camber in the front. Right now I'm running -2.5 in the front and stock -1.5 in the rear for Auto-x.

Anyways, I'm taking the Fit out again next week to test out the new suspension, I've taken it to one already a few weeks ago, and I think it handled pretty well. I should note that I also have the Progress rear 22mm anti-sway bar, and lightweight wheels with Falken Azeni 615s. The dampening adjustment is VERY stiff @ "full stiff" setting, (but of course stiffness is quite subjective). Also, it is pretty comfortable at a softer setting. I'm actually at 20 clicks from full stiff in front, and 15 clicks from full stiff in back. Feels fine.

I think the T1Rs would be a great choice for auto-x/ track simply because of the camber adjustability and the fact that AJ-racing runs the same coilover on their race car. For me, it gave me the peace of mind that they're tried and trusted by a reputable race group.

About the endlinks, I don't have the "upgraded version" that T1R released with the beefier, updated endlinks, but the version I got the endlinks DID seem a little flimsy. As we speak I have my mechanic fabbing a set of beefier ones for my car. BUT, they don't come into contact with anything, so that's good. I think now T1R relocated the endlink mount on the coilover to the bottom mount instead of having it sitting separately on the shock body, above the bottom mount, in addition to beefing it up. Honestly though, that's the only issue I've had with my T1Rs.

Oh yeah, and Skunk2 would probably be better in terms of comfort. At least that's what I'm getting from the various reviews I see from family guys using them. Seem very suitable.

i also hear for daily driving the t1r is a bit too stiff. but then again im used to stiff so i wouldnt mind. i had a couple of friends buy the t1r's and they decided to go with the pro c's and living life with no regrets.

both are great coilovers, its really comes down what you really want to do.

im ordering a set of skunk2 pro c's tomorrow, ive read and heard nothing but great things about these. and i wanna get low, and on occasion hit the canyons. the lowest setting was the key factor for me.

as far as customer service goes both have really great people answering question.
