LMAO!!! i love the back drop =P i think you should give it some time to let it sit and if it still looks the same... then... hmm... maybe it was because the springs are suppose to be like that for a reason for "performance" wise lol hmm what brand and where did you get it again? i honestly never heard of that brand... hmm... does it make any noises from the back? are both the back side that same height? have you seen pictures of any other fits/cars? what made you get it? =P

well it was supposed to be 1.5" drop front and rear. I definitely believe the front is 1.5" lower. Cat, I don't want to go superlow until I get full coilovers. I bought it on ebay for like $130 shipped. I saw them on one other Fit on here a while back. Looked a little more dumped than this lol I don't see how time will fix this. As soon as I turned off the ebrake, the front dumped down and the back stayed up. It's all in correctly, I doublechecked everything before finishing each side. I'm going to get mad if it stays like this. It actually makes the rear look higher than stock....

edit: both sides are the same height, no noise whatsoever...

yeah in the before and after pic it looks like the rear got higher after you put in your new springs. but then again, you can see from the visibility of the wheels in the background of your 1st vs. 2nd picture that you took the 2nd picture from a lower angle than the first, so you can't really tell from just the 2 pics. all i can think of for the rears could be:

1. Did you make sure you put the springs as far into the rubber mounts as they would go? like rotated them all the way to the stop before you put the whole thing back into the rear perch?

2. Are you sure you got the rubber on the upper part of the rear spring to fit properly in its place against the underside of the car?

Those are the only things that i can think of that could affect the rear's height. just the rubber above and below the spring, along with the positioning of that rubber with where they should be placed when put back into the perch.

edit: do you have a picture of the rear spring from underneath/behind the car? and is this the height for both of the rear wheels or just one of them?

yes I definitely rotated the spring into the upper and lower rubber mounts to the stop. Also yes the upper rubber fits in its place. I don't have a pic from underneath or behind, and it's now dark so tomorrow I'll make sure I do that. This is not cool at all

well maybe I should pm him and ask him if it was low instantly all around. If so, I unfortunately gotta do at least the rears over again. I'm fine with the front, and I think if the rear DOES settle, the front will go a bit lower with it..

No unfortunately I threw the box out ;/

I'll check the springs for numbers tomorrow when I'm off duty. Looks like the gap in the rear went from 4 fingers to 3.5 lol but that might be due to the 50mm skunk2 waiting for me to install. Which leads me to this question:

I obviously suck at DIY, does anyone know if Midas can knock out the exhaust AND fix my spring problem at the same time? Or should I not trust them?

Eh, Chris man are both your front and rear words upside down, or just rear?

This is what I bought:
eBay Motors: VOGTLAND GERMAN SPRINGS HONDA FIT 06 to 08 drop 1.5" (item 310071504868 end time Nov-27-08 15:35:20 PST)

Thumbs down

Hate to say this but I think you were sold the Vogtland Springs for a car stereo or the D0nK springs if you look under there products for the fit you will see them listed...

You're saying the springs are bogus? I've never heard of fake springs...the front is definitely lower than stock, like WAY lower. So it obviously did something...just something's fishy with the rears...or maybe I accidentally put the rears on the front? I don't know wtf happened...I might find a shop that will be nice enough to look at it for me for like $20 since they're already on and everything...just adjust them real quick.

No no....You have Vogtland springs but you might have got the wrong type they offer 3~4 types of springs if you look at there website..

Car Stereo Sus Springs
DONK Springs ( 20inch plus wheels )
Sport Sus Springs
and Coilovers

Have a look you`ll see.... you might have the ones for Car Stereo hence the high rear ride height... .. Just a thought....
