I've recently been noticing a slight "click" sound when I'm first engaging the brake pedal. It sounds sort of like a switch is being flipped right when I push on the pedal a little bit. Is this a normal sound that I'm just now noticing, or something I should have the dealer check out?
Thanks!

I've heard that some ABS systems do that the first time you depress the brake pedal after starting the engine, particularly when it's cold. It's a self-test.
joquio: I've been suggesting the brake lube(sliding pins & pads) & service the pads & rotors remember? Let me know if u wanna try that.
Mine's been clicking even since I use the strong chemical to wash the rims at work. The POS Hawk HP+pads didn't help either. I'm gonna lube up my front brakes when my Ferodo DS2500 pads are here & re-adjust the rear drums.
I recommend everyone to do that every year/24,000km or so. I do it twice a year & usually do that before the lapping season starts & before winter.
i "feel" the click more than i hear it, but then again thats prolly cuz im deaf on my car, the click is heard when the tail lights come on, i noticed it when i pull out of the drive way and it clicks the same time the tail light is at its fullest light. maybe its a different click compared to you guys.
dude. I JUST noticed the click like literally 15 minutes ago when i went to get gas. I got into my car, and was letting my car warm up, and i stepped down on the brake for fun and i heard a click too, than i stepped on it a few times and it still clicked. but based on responses of other members i guess its normal.
I wonder if this noise is becoming more noticeable because the weather is starting to cool off a bit down here in Florida. I guess I'll just deal with it if others are hearing it too.
question for those who are hearing it: look at the reflection of the car behind you, or the wall behind you, does the brake light fully comes on when you hear the click?
Just curious, are all your cars automatics? May be a stupid comment, but could it just be the release allowing you to put the car in gear? There is always a slight click on my Accord when I first depress the brake pedal to put the car in gear. It's a safety measure to ensure your foot is on the brake so the car can't "slip" into gear. Just a thought...
If you car clicks every time you brake it's certainly a different issue.
For the record, I'm driving an '08 Sport Manual. Also, I paid attention to the brake lights this morning when I was braking and the light came on before the click.

You may be hearing the brake light switch on the upper part of the brake lever. If you want to 'test' find the switch and depress the brake pedal. When the pedal is depressed the 'pushbutton' is released closing contacts with a soft 'click' that is unnoticeable to me but I can feel it. When the pedal is released the pushbutton opens the contacts again with a soft click.
The pushbutton actually opens the contacts when the pedal is released to cut off current to the brake light. Its done that way so if the switch fails the lights will stay on.
