i need to try this. it should be super easy to make a tube, with 3 brackets.... 2 being for the knuckle, and 1 for the sway bar. then a round mount to put any coilover sleeve (ground control or whatever). it should be gravy.

im getting ready to do all this on my n600. its got a weird setup, and i want to switch to a knuckle with 4x100

you might not want integra front koni... you really want a koni designed for macpherson style strut. the rod will be much thicker since it takes all the weight, PLUS cornering load. the integra has double wishbone setup, so the only force the shock sees is up and down, not side to side.

we ran into this when i had my 1980 civic. nothing available, no inserts available that small, so people modded integra and civic struts to it and eventually bent the rods. they are not designed to take all the cornering force that a macpherson is designed for

Tyler, if you have a chance, check the OD of your Tokicos. I wonder if those might be a candidate for the Koni insert mod.

Do you really think that yellows for all cars are the same? I mean based on your spring rate comments and not knowing that....

Again, no Koni insert will fit in our front housings, and using some random insert probably will not end well(example above). IF you could find one that fits, and then have it revalved, it might handle ok, but as already said, it needs to be meant for our suspension design. I have no connection with that company, but for a FULL COILOVER suspension, custom front housings/strut , adjustable ride height and adjustable shocks, with shocks valved properly for our cars already, seems like a fair price to me, and you can pick whatever spring rates you want with their setup.

I some how unsubscribed from this thread...

I can still measure the OD of my Tokico's tomorrow in the daylight but. I don't remember them being any visibly larger...

I do not know that you can e-mail Chris there to see. I notice that he has the Koni shocks and custom front strut without the springs for sale.

Here is the link I was checking out his site 06-11 Civic Suspension I know this comes up 06-11 Civic but the page says 09+ Fit.

If you hit the highlighted under Koni shocks you can e-mail him.

Hmm. IIRC the GE fronts work just fine on the GD. I'll have to email and see if he can send just the front, sans springs.

If the Red Line "struts" are available for the fronts for the GE and are able to be simply rettro fitted on a GD, then the SAAB Koni's are available for the rear... did we just find a front and rear solution?

Haha, at this point at $540 shipped for another set of Tokico's I might just get them and put them on a shelf till I need them!!!

On the page it says "Lowering Spec: 0-3" Drop" but these are listed for a 09+ Fit

Wow, this really took off. It looks like the guy at RedShift has figured it out! The photos just show an insert, but it looks like this is a straight bolt in offering?

Now just need to take the plunge!
