Here is the latest response from Joey at progress...
Quote:
The website is now updated with the corrected quantities, which is actually 16. Yes, it was Gettinafit that placed the order over the phone yesterday and it is leaving here today.
Calling will work better right now because we actually trying to get some bugs out of the system. If they are in California, the website will be fine to use but for some reason it is charging tax for out of state customers. So anyone out of California should call in to place an order to avoid that tax charge

Progress Fit 1 - Mercedes ZERO
Driving home casually from work just now and some yuppie d!@khead in his CLS or some S*#T like that comes up behind me riding my ass. What an A%!HOLE!
So i drop it in "S" mode and downshift to 2nd and take a 90 degree turn at 30 mph or so. Coasted halfway thru and then put the pedal to the floor. Lost his ass by about 4 cars Then mr. biff d#%kwad takes the same turn and winds up in the other lane facing oncoming trafic his rear end swaying all over the place.
Can you say DUMBASS!
Progress RULES! I am sure my new 17's and BFG's helped a little too
P.S. i am riding on stock springs/struts.

Yay, leonine!!
Very good illustration of the benefits of this bar! I have done some similar things recently, and you can almost hear the gears whirring in the heads of the idiots behind you- "how did that little car DO that?"

If that happens, add the ajr's front one and the lower bar to balance ( as it counter act to each other, auntil you find your desired balance/behivior).

I ordered a bar from New Edge this past week and they shipped it right away. Received it with no problems. Just waiting to put it in.

I just ordered my sway bar! I hope you get more stuff for the fit as I love that you are East Coast and not shipping from CA as I am in PA. How about getting a T1R Intake?

WOW, ordered yesterday @ 2:30 pm EST and was delivered at 11:00 am today, Thanks.
I did some investigating of the cars suspension last night and it seems that this bar is designed to limit the amount of twist is the rear axel, as some have noted earlier in this thread. It does not function as a nomal "sway" bar like the front bar does. You may ask "how much does the rear axel beam twist" Well I have some pretty fancy dial indicators and last night I did some measuring. If you place a jack under the driver side rear spring seat and jack it up 3/4" or .750" the passenger side perch only rises 1/4" or .250". So that is 1/2" twist in the torsion beam while the car is level and in a stationary position. When you are cornering hard and the weight of the car shifts I would image that this twist could be greater. I will post the results of how much deflection is noted afer the bar is installed tonight!

These gems must be in full production 'cause I ordered from New Edge Monday, and here it is on my door 2 days later. Fed-Ex ground, no less. Can't wait to put it in tonight.
Hats off to you early adopters who make it so much easier for rookies like myself to make informed decisions. You know whoyou are. You guys rock!

Shipping took a while, but mine arrived today.
Install will be tonight or tomorrow, depending on how much time I get.

Just installed the sway bar.
On the drive from the garage to home I could immediately tell a difference.
Great item!

Ordered mine
You all did such a great review and write up of the sway bar I just had to have one too.
Called Joey at Progress Yesterday only to find out that they sold the last 9 to New Edge Performance. Joey gave me their number (301) 729-3000. I got a hold of Tony there around lunch time and placed my order.
I'm not sure but if I'm right that would put the remaining number available at 7 since he mentioned selling another one.
Tony was easy to deal with. I have problems getting things by FedEx and he was more than willing to ship it by UPS instead. I should have it in time to do the install this weekend which works out good since my C-Pillar Bar should arrive by then too. | |
