awesome, that's exactly what i thought too.

I'm not much of a car guy, this is the first car i've owned but it seems very logical for the compressed coils to be at the bottom. More pressure from the car needs to compress the weight to where the coils are close together, if the coils were at the top i would assume we would get a lot of sagging.

uhh do you have a pic of the instructions? most springs have writing on them....im thinking you would want that writing right side up so you could read it.

Eibach springs are a progressive rate. The Tanabe, as well as most other japanese springs I have seen, are not.


That is my own conclusion for the tighter-wound coils being together. With the compressed pack at the bottom, there is the ability for the spring to travel with the shock but the diameter of the springs the same the whole way down and the unforgiving coils at the bottom keep the spring rate from changing.

As with the Eibach Pro Kit, the tighter coils are up top and a larger diameter. So, the stiffness and spring rate changes as the coil compresses.


I don't know if that's a 100% accurate assumption, but, it is the logical process that went on in my mind.


I am considered going with the GF210 springs. I just want a slightly lower stance but a noticeable amount of stability in the corners.
