technine is on a distinguished road
Problem with lowering

I just lowered my fit with Tein S-tech springs yesterday. It was driving good for the first 200 or so km then suddenly after I start to hear some rubbing/grinding noise from the front. I couldn't see anything rubbing near the tires or around the wheel well. What I notice is that if I make a right turn, the noise is gone, but there will be noise if i turn left or go straight.

The noise doesn't really get louder as I drive faster, so I dont think its the wheel bearing. Anyone have similiar issues after lowering? And I have the Sport model with the factory rims on, so I dont think I should have problems with the tires rubbing though.

Are you sure it's rubbing on the wheels or is the springs itself not settled right? Sometimes you just need to the springs to settle a little or readjust them.

bluecell is right the springs sit in the perches of the shock. They must sit correctly or else it'll move around and that's not safe. Go back n check ur install.

ok. so i went back and tightened everything. (although most bolts were tight) and also adjusted the springs. im not sure what i did, but it fixed it. no more sound!! w00t!!

i think what it was was the swaybar-to-strut bar. those weren't tight enough so there was some binding.

thanks everyone!
