Stock Shock/Strut Dimensions?

Anyone have a resource for the dimensions of the OEM shocks and struts? Since there aren't many (any) choices for just plain old upgrade shocks and struts, I'm wanting to see what else out there comes close enough for government work. I was hoping to get out this weekend and at least measure the rear shocks, but the weather sucked.

So, what I'm looking for are these dimensions:

Rear Shocks -
Extended & Compressed length
End Treatments (loops or pins, stud sizes, etc.)

Struts -
Extended & Compressed length
Lower mount bolt sizes/locations
Shaft DIA
Spring perch DIA
...and whatever else you need to tell if one strut is the same as another.

If this info is in the FSM, I guess I need to get one of those on the way, but it seems like the kind of detail the dealer monkeys aren't really concerned with.

Thanks in advance for any help on this stuff, and I promise I'll post up my findings when the results start rolling in.

Since I carry heavy loads in the back seat and trunk occasionally I found Monroe MaxAir shocks MA811's fit very nicely. Only washers are needed to make up for the Fit yoke being wider than the MA811 bushing. Works well on track too. For more info see the 'better rear design' postings.

Thanks, mahout, I've been reading on that one, too. I'll actually try to pull one this weekend, if the weather doesn't go to pot again...
