that's pretty sad after all that. very dissappointed in tokico's
lack of knowledge in its own lineup.

So they DO have a JDM shock/strut package? Have we established what the differences are between the USDM and JDM struts? I think I heard something about the sway bar link mount, but I can't swear to that.

I believe the only differences are in the size of the mounting holes for the knuckle on the strut casing, and the swaybar mount, dependant on which model the strut was made for. I think either the 1.3 or 1.5 has the right mount for the usdm car, otherwise, you would need to source the proper length endlinks.
Regardless, if you are interested in ordering a jdm spec strut for your car, there is surely better options out there than these. I'm willing to bet that tokico has an hps (red body) strut, kyb has some I believe, showa makes a few different models, honda access has some, which I'm sure are just showas, same deal with spoon, mugen, and maybe j's?

Not trying to highjack and not sure if everyone knows, but the factory struts and shocks are made by KYB.

I was under the impression that KYB had no intent of releasing a Fit strut at this point, either... same as Koni, and apparently Tokico at this point. I'd like to see anyone bring another choice to the table, though.
The Showa's are the only adjustable (or otherwise decent) off-the-shelf struts I've seen for the Fit. However, I haven't seen them for sale w/o springs. My concern, and the concern of the small handful of SCCA Stock-class racers on the board, is that the aftermarket springs aren't legal, and the spring mounts MAY be specific to those spring packages since there's a drop.
After shopping for the last few months, it looks like the Koni race strut inserts will work with the stock strut bodies, so I think that's the way I'm headed now. No doubt about anything being legal, nor is there any doubt about how well the Koni race inserts work. Just have to get a few hundred bucks stashed to make the change...

Tokico update: I called Bob at Shox.com yesterday. He was showing that they are available, they just don't have a price on them. Fronts and backs are available. I spoke to him again today. Tokico didn't call him back with pricing but he was ordering the front struts that I wanted and will have them tomorrow. He will call me with pricing tomorrow after he gets them in.
I ordered Monroe air shocks discussed in another thread for my rear end. Now I can utilize a more normal coil spring (Tanabe,T1R, Eibach) with better spring deflections and compressions. I can't wait!!!!!!!
With 377 lbs of a stereo system my needs are different than others here.

Called Shox, but I don't think I talked to Bob... the guy who answered didn't know when they were coming out... DOH! He did give the # to Tokico tech, so I called them to verify. They said ask for Bob, too. Hmmm. They also said that the non-adjustables were available now, and were "much better than" the stock units, but didn't provide any data to back that up. Perhaps the best part is that they said the adjustable D-Spec versions will be out this summer... I wonder how long we'll have to hold our breath on those? They're only single-adjustable (compression/rebound with one top-adjust knob), but with 16 points of adjustment. Price for other Honda applications seems to run between $525 and $725 for a set of four, so not a bad deal, especially if they actually tuned the shocks for the Fit.

I'm so anxious to get the KW's out of my car I'll be happy to put the regular Tok's in for now. I'm matching them up with Eibach springs up front. They have a really nice progressive design so I would expect them to handle well and have ride comfort. Right now, I can't take my car anywhere near a rough road.

Crazy! When I gave the PN to my local supplier and they called Tokico, it is apparently the JDM shocks and not USDM...maybe they've finally corrected it!
