Stiffer shocks?

Hey, does anyone know a company that makes stiffer rear shocks for our cars?

there was someone posting here that was working with Koni to try to get dampers made for the car.

might want to show them there's interest to make it happen.

There are two ways:
1. Monroe Airlifts MA811 intended for 92 Cavalier. Virtual direct fit see posts under "need new shock design'. Its not only stiffer but increases rear load capability. Several now have done it well.
2. In the old days we customized our shocks with a kit from JC Whitney, perhaps no longer available. You barely drilled the side of the shock with a .0625 magnetic bit, emptied and measured the oil, checked the oil viscosity by timing the flow thru a .0625 hole. Adjusting the flow by adding motorcycle fork oil, 30w or 40W, to get about 10% more time, and stiffer shock. Refilling the correct volume into the shock, and sealing the hole with proper screw/gasket. The degree of added resistance was your desire for heavier duty, ie competition use.

Wasn't there a previous petition to Koni that ended up in an epic FAIL?

Doubtful mainly because the JDM applications can be easily adapted to fit the USDM Fit. Also, there would only be 2 production years that they could sell these parts to which is a really small market if you consider that the new one is going to be very different.
