out of these, the TEIN gloves kicks arse by a far margin:
#1 TEIN - quality and fitment is top notch! nice suede feel. elastic wrist band so
you don't have to un-velco each time.
#2 Sparco Meca2 - fitment is good, nice suede feel.
#3 Mechanix - standard ones with colorful mechanix graphics - great fitment
#4 Sears mechanic's gloves (red/black one) - long fingers.. but easy to use.
$5 Sparco Meca3 - bring back the Meca2's!!!
So, next time you're shopping for gloves check out the TEIN's. I bought
them directly from TEIN.com. got it in 2days. they have a warehouse
in Atlanta too.
also works great as driving gloves.

i rock semi-disposable gloves. i don't feel bad for tossing them. i used to wear mechanix gloves, but the leather gets hella crunchy after you wash them
i'm with solbrothers. I use disposable nitrate gloves from harbor freight. 100 pack for $5 FTW!!! There super strong and i toss them if i want or i can wash em and wear em again.
I also have the mechanix gloves. Even though i love em, they absorb oil like no other and it's hard 2 get it all out.
LOL, i knew some of you guys were too cheap for this stuff.
thanks for reconfirming solbrothers.
i have disposable gloves i use for my oil changes, etc. they are great
for that. i use the aloe coated vinyl gloves i got from Griot's which are
easy to slip on and fairly strong as long as you dont do too many twisting
kinda work. they also have the heavy duty ones which almost look like
the gloves i use in cold weather to wash my car.
I'm onboard with the disposable gloves, I keep a pair of mechanix gloves around for when I absolutely have to do something in the cold though. Like this past winter I did a rear disc swap from my old accord to a buddies car as I was parting out. Couldn't have done it with disposables, just wouldn'd have kept me warm enough.
yes, they do help quite a bit in the cold... but the main benefit is when
you're working with tight nuts/bolts where you need extra grip on your
tool or when you are near sharp objects, tight space, and trying to get
a fastener off, etc.
it's not so much to keep oils and grime off your hands... in fact, i use
the disposables when handling liquids/oils/ even soil when im working
on the planter.

How about price comparison? We found the teins a little difficult to use compared to our local AutoZone ones. The Tein's lack good flexibility and precision. They are tough but not pliable enough to get in tight places and work.

from the other ones ive tried, the mechanix' glove was the closest
to the TEIN's but the TEIN's offer better elasticity throughout the
glove so it's more comfy.
but not a pin-point accuracy as in picking up a 4mm object.
i'll give those autozone ones a shot next time im there for something.
thanks for the tip.

lol he gives "daps" to his guests because he doesn't want them to touch his "petrie dish" LMAO!
Before he shaved his head, his old stand-up act had him wearing an inflated surg. glove ON his head. Getting a pair on kenchan's hands would be easy for such an expert.
