i think i will give these discs a go, Nitrac Combi Discs 'Drilled & Grooved'
These high quality discs are cryogenically treated. This produces a finer and more consistent grain structure within the cast iron of the disc giving greater torsional strength, greater abrasion resistance, and much better thermo-dynamic performance.
could anyone tell me if the t1r brake lines will fit the honda jazz EDM (JDM) with rear disc brake???

Actually Phillipe, both Performance Friction and Hawk make hipo pads for the Fit front. The 91 CRX Si pad, FMSI 373, with only a minimum of grinder work will fit the FIT. Only small grinding of the backplate corners are needed. No friction surface work. Took me less than 15 minutes to do all 4 pads. In all fairness I should point out we've been doing this since the early seventies for SS racers including mine. Believe me, this is the easiest one of em all. And it helps the CRX Si pads has a complete choice of pad types from street to full race. The HPS Hawks are good for both street and track sessions. Autozone sells PF pads for as little as $30 per set, a bargain. One caution: there is only 1mm overlap on the ears so don't shorten the pads at all. (the extra room allows for heating up in heat of battle.We tested both PF and Hawk this morning. Both withstood toughest pounding away on track at maximum speeds. Although the Fit is not ferociously fast it is fast enough to threaten the ability of the usual disc brake pads. I love the smell of burning brake pads in the morning. (you can keep your napalm, never liked it). Especially when they still stop me rapidly and often from 100 mphThey should, of course; those pads stopped my 3800 lb cars from 150 mph in same place.
We have now two all out lapping seesions on track with great stopping repeatedly with the Hawk HPS pads. No fade, no drama, quick stops.

The spinning rotors push the pads back by pneumatic (air) pressure so the pads are only in contact with the rotor when the brakes are applied if your calipers are in order. At rest they will close on the rotor. And leave 'droppings' as well as warpage. Always cool your brakes before stopping !
i went on a touge with couple of people and my brakes are f'ed and starting to make noise (i think squeel is the right word) so its time for new brake pads, but i want pads that will perform well if i go on a touge again but won't fade for daily driving
couple of my buddies told me to look into high-heat brake pads but i don't know any good brands, can you guys give me an idea of what are some good brands with offer what i'm looking for?
so far, hawk's HPS are looking good, but kinda pricy and some of the reviews say they need to be broken in and noisy for daily driving

They'r great, I used them to autocross and not once I was without brake power.
Mine were noisy only whrn there was time to change them (like all others including OEM) and the brake in perios is nothing more than use them normally at first (again as with any other including OEM) but then you will love them!!!!
BTW; they are one of the lower price high perf pads I could find.................

The Hawk and Perfiormance Friction pads from 91 CRX Si fit with a little backplate grinding (none on pad). They are a tad short but still held in the upper slot, allowing for expansion under track effort. There is a good selection of performance grades but I have found Hawk HPS works well on street and track. Another nice thing is good prices thanks to the many 91 CRX's out there, including my SiR (see Autotrader)
A couple of ho holds barred sessions at max speeds prioved the Hawks effectiveness.
Have you test fitted that HB418? I couldn't find an FMSI# on the pad so I outlined it on some graph paper and it looks exactly like HB418 from Hawk's site. That pad is found by searching 05-06 civic hybrid sedan.
The usdm fit's front pads look like this:
Did you guys happen to note the FMSI numbers on the diagram. D621 and D948. Usually that means there are two thicknesses involved, not just .646" (16.15 mm). The stock Fit pad is 16.4 mm thick (.656). so the .646 pad should fit.
I installed the HPS pads over the weekend and they were a direct fit. Very easy install and no trouble with the break-in. They appear to have much better fade resistance than the stock pads, but I'm a little disappointed in the initial bite. I'm used to using Porterfield R4S pads on several cars, and those are awesome. All the fade resistance of the HPS but with amazing initial bite -- much better for autocross, IMHO. But I'll take what I can get until the Porterfield's come out. The weakness of the stock pads became clear just before I changed them: I was descending a very steep, narrow mountain pass on a family trip -- not even charging hard -- and the stock pads were stinking and starting to give out about halfway down. Pretty sad choice of materials by Honda on such a lightweight car, if you ask me.
thanks for the reply, a little too late tho.. haha.. was bout to buy some endless pads of a guy bak then from the US lucky i didnt, otherwise a waste of money...
, NOT over spending on the fancy boxes and un-necessary advertising.
