It has nothing to do with being scared or lazy. Its what you value, and the experience you have. You can do it the right way, which is always expensive, and guarantess you have a perfect seal to prevent condensation, or save a few bucks. Back when I did this to the gti, I didn't mind as much. I am also very precise when it comes to certain aspects on detail, and regardless of how well of a job I might of have done, there was no certainty that it would of been sealed like how oem would always be. I still got condensation. Same with others I have encountered who have done this. Most of them had both or if lucky, had only one headlight that had a problem with moister.
I have done this to 3 different cars and never had any problems...Its your money to waste all I am saying that for $.99 and an hour of your time you can do this. If you do screw it up and still feel like giving your money away then pay $400 to honda for some new headlights. I have seen black headlights go for $50-$75 each on ebay by the way.
Well boys its been a good run but i am sad to say that after all this time i gotta pull out. The wife has been in the hospital for a few day now and with the medical bills that are coming and having to get the family up here i cant justify spending the money on headlights. There are more important things that i have to do. It was fun all. Good luck to the rest of you. Thanks again Erik for all the help. Maybe i will order some later on after all this is done.
Yo JD, Family is definitely very important. I'll pray everything turns out alright with your wife and the familia!!
Peace,
Thanks Skytraveler. It sucks that i waited all this time but yes family is more important then car parts. On a side note the wife just got released and is here at home now with me and her family but still need to wait a couple months before i can start saving money for car parts again. No biggie. I will watch and see this thread and maybe if nothing has happend by then i will jump back in. You never know. Thanks all and good luck.
Joshua

Right on. Dealership usually rapes you for anything. I wanted a new catalytic converter for my accord and they quoted me at 850 for the new one. I was like NO I don't think so. SO I ended up getting an aftermarket one for under 200!!!
Ok lets get this going once and for all. If you five on the list would all send me your email addresses (please PM me if you want) or email me at erik.richards@bernardiautogroup.com and i will give you instructions on how to place the orders with the special pricing.
Dammit guys why did you go and have to complete the group buy now? I didn't think this would be going down for a bit. I've already placed a pre-order on the Kraftwerks Supercharger, so until I have that paid off I'm tapped out for the moment. Hey erik, will the headlights still be available at special pricing for me maybe a month or two down the line?
To be honest with you we haven't done anything yet. Eric hasn't even sent me a PM yet. I hope it is soon but if we need another person to do it I don't mind waiting on you.
