Performance summer replacements for stock tiresa?
Looking to replace my stock 2015 LX 185/60-15's with some higher performance tires. I'm assuming I'll have to go for 195/55-15 or 205/55-15's instead. Looking for better performance in dry and wet than the stock tires, and then low road noise secondary. Any advice?
In the 205/55 size it looks like Dunlop Direzza DZ102's or Nitto NT 450 Extreme 's would be my best bet. (S.drives from Yokohama seem like all the reviews say they're loud AF and are more on the racing side)
In 195/55 size I'd probably get BF Goodrich G-FORCE SPORT COMP-2's although I think they might be a little loud?
Essentially I'm looking for wet/dry performance but something that won't be loud as fuck. Next preference would be long-ish lasting.
Anyone have any advice on 205 vs. 195 in general? The 205 would have less speedo difference which is why I was leaning toward those, but if 195 or 215 or something crazy would be better let me know because I really don't know much about tires.

Performance Summer Tires are usually for spirited driving and with that is the need for control and grip. Grip comes at a cost of noise because the tires are gripping the road more hence the relationship between the two.
I have S-Drives on my 15/7 Enkeis with 185/50r15 and 14/6 Sparcos with 185/55r14
The extra height to the tire series is better comfort when it comes to ride quality but at the sacrifice of stiff grip.
At the end of the day you need to choose your priorities accordingly. We can't have our cake and eat it too. That's why I have multiple sets of wheels. It's Fun.
The S-Drives are pretty quite though...
With that said, The yokohama S-Drive are the best tires I ever driven on for my car. I got more noise from my All-Season Passenger 195/55 series because the tire compound was harder and the pattern had more grooves and notches.

I'm thinking I should just get the quietest, most hydroplane resistant tires I can get. I'm starting to think that's 185/60-15 all seasons (because the water shedding benefits of performance tires would be drowned out by wider tires being more likely to hydroplane faster, and performance tires don't come in the LX stock size...), like michelin defenders or something similarly bland, since I'm not exactly setting autocross times in my fit... But now I don't know which all seasons to get.
