Good question. I am really not sure about the Philippine edition. The wiring may be totally different but again, i'm not sure.

Please rephrase the question about the highbeam. If i understand right, what you want to know is whether your Fog dash light indicator will be turn off when you turn your highbeams on? If so, I have not checked that out but since I have seen my fog lights turn off everytime i flash my highbeams, I would guess that the fog light dash indicator would turn off.

Fantastic DIY! I'll actually attempt this now! +rep

Couple quick questions though.
1) When the ignition is off (i.e. key out of the car) will the fogs turn on and off? OR do they turn off automatically?
2) This does not dim the dash, correct?
3) ... any other ill side-effects that may arise...?
4) Where in FL are you at?

1) As long as you hook it up into a fuse section that's not constant, it will turn on and off with the ignition.

2) The dash will dim to whatever settings you have for night time unfortunately.

3) I've had mine done for a year now with no problems at all.

4) n/a lol

1) The way I have explained in the instructions, the fogs will turn off when you have the key out.

2)Good question. I have not noticed. I will have to find out today.

3)None that I know of. And none of the 5 fits that i have done have ever had issues.

4)South Florida, why

4 - I just moved back to FL and will be working/living in the Ft. Myers area and am trying to get an idea where the other Freaks in the area are at (for when I mess this mod up).

I'm not really sure what this actually does for the fog light operation. Do they come on all the time with this done? Is there another switch to turn them on? I don't have my Fit yet, so not sure what we are trying to accomplish here.

The way they are wired up in stock form, you can only turn on the fog lights when the headlights are turned on. Some people want to be able to turn them on with the parking lights, or even just turn them on by themselves for a D.R.L.-type light. This mod allows you to use the fog light switch indepentently from the headlights, letting you turn the fogs on and off whenever you want (except with the brights turned on - for that you'll have to follow some extra steps found in the original thread which involve grounding the fog lights to a constant source.)

m-man@sbcglobal.net is on a distinguished road
also found out, when you turn the fogs on, the idle still goes up like when you turn the headlights on

Where do we connect if we want the fogs to come on only when parking lights are on? Is it 24?

Also, I would like the option of allowing the lights to stay on when the key is out...I am guessing that will be the case if fogs only turn on with parking lights.

What you would have to do, is when you run that wire from the steering wheel down to the fuse box, hook it up to the wire for the parking light instead of an empty fuse. I'm not sure if that's #24 or not you'd have to experiment a bit.
