Just remember that if you install one of these and are in the rain or ever wash your car water goes inside the engine bay onto the top of the master cylinder and clutch master cylinder. Unless you block it off somehow.

i have washed my cars and truckst tons of time the engine off and never had issues with water on the master cylindar cap or booster or other places.
i think this would be nic eto have to let some additional fresh air into engine bay
oh man! i saw one of these on someones fit during the little mini meet @ super auto bacs over this past weekend in stanton... i think it was anthony's, but i'm not sure cuz i wasn't really interested in one at the time. did anybody get a response from this dudes email yet? price? actual real carbon fiber for reals actually?!? black mesh? anything? anything at all?!?
...but some FitFreak member(s) has it! For my part, I've searched e-bay numerous times and don't recall seeing it.
So how to source it?
i'll have to do a lil research to track down who it was that i saw with it, and get the dish on the scoop direct. it ain't #1 on my list of priorities right now tho since school just started this week, so i can't give you an approximate eta. if i'm lucky tho i'll see it/him/them again at the meet on fri. if not then, maybe at the eibach event in a couple weeks. patience grasshoppers.
Anybody hear anything yet or figure out who had this installed? I was playing around the other night with the piece and i couldnt even figure out how to get the damn thing out.

SCOOP facing forward = USELESS, maybe even detrimental
AIR EXTRACTOR (vent) facing REARWARDS = looks like it would be interesting considering the exhaust manifold is in the back , they would act like heat chimneys.
It is more efficient to to work with physics then it is to fight it, extracting hot air from the upper back portion of the engine bay is ideal (heat rises of course and the air is naturally flowing front to back [unless you drive in reverse and upside down, you would be fighting the natural air flow]).
Think of the engine bay like it's a jet turbine, why would you consider having the intake in the rear section?
