heavens...i clearly don't know of what rule you speak of. hahah ummm... this is my theory on the situation. If "someone" doesn't make a copy of it...a big buisness will market it and will be in direct competition with J's racing. It would either force j's racing to lower its price for the lip to stay in competition or suffer in the sales of the other company.
In japan everybody copies evryone's style. for example blitz made a wheel. a few year later volk make a wheel very similar. does this make Volk a bad copy? No because everyone loves Volk racing. This can be found is duplication of bodykits, wheels, and anything else out there. More examples would be the Nardi boss steering hubs. Momo came out with the exact same thing. Then Nrg came out with hubs....what followed that? Ebay hubs made from china. same "style product" style but made different because:
A. it was cheaper to make
B. demand for the item
C. people figured if it looks good and works for a fraction on the cost..why not?
so now that i found "A" because someone can make the product... we move to section B. Who would like one of these.
These would be as "Flawless" as the CF engine covers i have.
