I wish that I knew that too, but I don't want to bug Brian at NRH. If I don't hear anything by the end of the first week, I'll call him. But he will probably post here when the consoles arrive at his dealership. That's my guess, not Brian's words. My Fit was born with a birth defect- it's missing a JDM console.

Can't wait! I was thinking about holding off on my short shift install until I have the console, but the console looks to be so easy to pop in and out that I may just do it twice.

okay, i know the GB is closed...but, did he order a kit for each individual on the list? or did he only order for those that have paid in advance? If he ordered one for everyone on the list, and some back out, will a chubby individual like myself be able to squeeze in on that list for that price? or will i have to pay the $29x.xx+tax (local p/up)?

we order who ever paid in advance......but check with Brain when the console are in, they may have order a few extra....but I'm not totally sure

I would bet that Brian ordered at least a few to keep in stock, but to be sold at their regular price. It is less expensive in shipping charges to import a large quantity of any item than it is for just a few of that item.

From my conversations with him, it is my understanding that he does not have the ability to risk dealership money by buying stuff for a list of people who promise to pay later. We have already seen how few on the list were ready to come through with payment, and how many had reasons to back out at the last minute.

If you were not among the people who paid by the deadline, you may still be able to buy one out of their stock, but you should be prepared to be charged $296. plus shipping- their regular price (which is very low anyway).

Just got a call from Brian today. He was kind enough to give an update. He told me there is a nationwide back order from Japan and he's estimating the 3rd week in August. I'm willing to wait for the console for the price we're paying. I appreciate the communication.

I got the same call, and he said that he was calling everyone who ordered. I thanked him for his courtesy. Unfortunately, we don't have any choice but to wait. I wonder if the 100 units that SP ordered, and is selling at a much higher price, are being delayed also.

at least he was super nice enough to call us all and tell us whats going on
so i have no problems in waiting even if i have to wait till september thats all good with me
