Quality Floor Mats, Anyone?

I recently purchased a 2007 Fit with 22K miles. The previous owner had worn out the OE floor mats and the aftermarket replacements in the car now are flimsy. Since I'm not impressed with the available options, I'm going to make my own. I'm going to use high quality thick automotive carpeting (with a heel pad for the driver) and cut the mats to fit perfectly in the footwells. I'm also hoping that the thick, plush carpeting will help to muffle some road noise.

I'll probably have a bunch of extra carpeting and materials, and once I make the templates, it shouldn't be too hard to make some extra sets. Initially they'd be for GD Fits, but I could do GE down the road if there's interest. Obviously I don't have a price worked out yet, I just want to know if I should continue looking into this. I'm sure that the price will be higher than the OE mats, but these will be much better quality and worlds more durable.

Any interest?

Inner Child,
I did the same thing to my GE, which I kept for a month till someone gave me brand new OEM all-weather floor mats. It isn't too hard for anyone to do, so you could do a DIY.
