If you love the car enough, want to keep it for a long time, and have the disposable income, why not? There are plenty of civics out there with 10k just under their hood.

Perhaps you were talking about getting newer cars? I've also seen people drop 5 digits in modifications on new bmws.

Tuners. 😛

Felix and Guiness are/were probably both right near Alpina.

But jeez.

That's wild.

Even between the S2000 I hope to buy shortly and my Fit (including both purchase prices) I don't intend on getting to that number.

And I've got expensive tastes.

Local groups in Texas. Cresson and COTA mostly. I should just track my track car (s2000) but reeling in some guys at COTA would be nice.

Hmm... We may have to chat one day. I've been tempted to run COTA for a while now once I move on from autocross.

If you ever run MSR Houston, let me know. I'm usually there on a fairly regular basis.

Felix69 was well into the $80k mark. I think he is the winner of the most money put into a fit.

Guiness, kelsodeez, and jdmchris(aside fromt his sponsors) all have the same level of builds with similar money invested.

Sure thing. I usually run with Edge Addicts at COTA and Apex for Cresson.

If you've run at MSRH, then COTA should be easy to pick up. One of our buddies took a 09' Auto Fit with shitty tires and springs then tailgated some P-cars and a Viper from 3-7. Granted it was the blue group, but it was hilarious. I might be out there in March with some slicks and JRZ two way
