2nd Gen Fit?

Post on TOV here: The Temple of VTEC - Honda and Acura Enthusiasts Online Forums > Fit (and Jazz) > > Re: 2nd. Gen Fit "real catalog pics" !!!

Looks like a cross between the 05-06 RSX from the front, and the FRV/Edix from the rear, but I bet that engine is going to be a PITA to work on from the rear. Notice how large the dashboard is? Holy crap. You can really see it on the Yellow car. Speaking of which, I'll take one of the yellow ones with the glass roof in the RS trim. Or even the Blue one. Mmmm...

I like the first gen Fits better then those pics........they look alot like a Toyota Yaris..Hopefully when they reveil the real thing at a auto show it desnt look too much like those pics.. The RS on top looks ok...but i still like the 1st gen better so far.

It's in Mazda 2 territory...

Also kinda like the Toyota Auris:

It looks more like a minor refresh on the exterior. I was expecting something a little different. Not diggin the taillights...or the headlights because of the black separation...

It looks more like the 1st gen Fit's (pretend) little brother than it does the 2nd gen Fit

I am not sure where they got this... but it seems to be actually a built model. It must have been from one of those honda test market setups and someone snuck a pic. If they have a model of the fit like this, it might be what it ends up looking like. Its similar to those catolog pics, but remember those are still speculation renderings too.

Looks pretty cool but that lower bumper opening needs to be fine tuned.

I'm still trying to figure out why if that really is a picture of the actual model someone would edit out the interior and the side window aft-of the A-Pillar.

The material and pics are real. Honda dealerships in Japan have already received the pre-release sales literature pack, and some of that is starting to trickle out. Magazines in Japan are citing "dealership only materials" to report on the next-gen Fit.

What is showing up here is a catalog that will eventually be used in the Japanese market. It is part of the pre-release sales lit pack.

No, it is not. Both the platform and suspension have been completely re-designed. This iteration is far from being a face lift.

Maybe just because it's new and unfamiliar, I dunno, but it isn't as good-looking as the current model in my opinion. It does look too much like a Yaris. And am I seeing that catalog right? Is it just a 1.3 liter engine? Or is that only in Japan?

I just confirmed that myself a bit earlier just after posting this thread.

EDIT: I still think people should reserve judgement until we have better pics and/or have seen them in person.

1.3 L will be the standard issue, as it has been with the first-gen, for most markets in the world ex-North America.

2nd generation in the US but definitely not the second generation for Fit/Jazz.

This is the 2nd generation for the entire world. The Jazz that this link shows is actually the JDM City, and this model has nothing to do with the Fit.

You are right. For some reason I always thought Jazz/Fit is the successor of the Honda City. And I was City was called "Jazz" before, wasn't it?
