replacing windshield wipers. cant find the right size?

i know this may sound silly but i tried to change my windshield wipers the other day at autozone (my oe's are terrible) and i couldnt get the passenger side to fit. they werent busy so one of the guys did the lookup for me and told me 24 and 16 for the fronts. i found the ones i wanted and because he was bored he came out with me and we did them together. well to make a long story short my passenger side wiper was hangin over onto the pillar. we looked it up again and it still said 16. we tried every 16 in the store and they all touched the pillar . i gave up and forgot about it till today when i looked on tire rack and they are saying 16 aswell for the passenger side. i havent went to the dealer yet to talk to them but has anyone else had an issue with this? autozone didnt have any decent blades under 16s so i didnt even try them to see if they fit. what do you guys think. am i crazy?

Unless you want something different from OEM, the replacement inserts are good, my Honda dealer charges 10 bucks to do the front set. Plan on replacing them about every 10K...
10 bucks is cheap, thats for the parts and labor. However, I still cant find vent-visors for my doors for less than 100, any suggestions

The frameless wipers (the Michelin Radius wipers from Costco seem even more quiet than the Reflex wipers from Canadian Tire) have no springs and seem to be quieter, wipe better, and much last longer. My wife really notices the difference - so they must be good!

Their 16" wipers will work on the passenger side. I trimmed about a 1/4" off the rubber part of the Michelin Radius wiper (with a Swiss Army Knife of course).

They have been lasting about 30,000 miles (48,000 km).

i finally just broke down and bought oe inserts. i would have put them on but its freezing rain outside so i guess i will wait till tomorrow. haha. they were pretty cheap too so maybe i will just keep with them for now and just change them every couple of months.

I picked up some Reflex 24 and 16 inch ones from Canadian Tire, they are not that great, and I had to cut about 1cm off the 16 to get it to fit.

i hear ya on not great wipers. haha. im really not a fan of the oe's but they are the best fitting ones out there and i dont want to play the guessing game anymore. atleast they are cheap so i can replace them damn near whenever i want. maybe someone will come out with a nice wiper that is worth a crap one of these days. haha. thanks everyone for your input thus far.
