Fit Mention: 5/11/08 New York Times

The article is a review of the Smart Fortwo, which the author disdains in favor of the "terrific" Honda Fit. More high-profile props for our increasingly-popular ride...
See Sunday's article here.

BrettC is on a distinguished road
I do like the fact they said the Fit made more sense when you talk about how to do a small car the right way. But they lump it in with the Nissan Versa, and no mention of the often marketed "magic seats".

I like the SmartCar, and I see nothing wrong with it as a "get around town" vehicle. But they did take it out on the highway which seems perilous at best, and they did clock it for the fact that it really doesn't get amazing gas mileage. I think it'll do well with what it is intended for. I definitely like Fit better, but....

i thought that the smart fortwo is too small and not practical enough. it's fuel economy doesn't quite seem to make up for it's lack in size and versatility.

How ironic that right after reading this I headed off for school and on the way there some ass clown in a bright yellow fourtwo cut me off... at a stoplight. We weren't even moving he just came up from an intersection behind me and put him self right between me and the car in front of me. I fealt like getting out and kicking his car over.
