AC & Gas Milage

Here in the midwest summer is in full swing and it is as hot as ,well you know where. My question is how has every one doing on gas milage while using the AC. I have notice a drop of about 1 mile per gallon.

I haven't noticed a huge loss in MPG since I started using the AC fulltime. My last tank lasted me 3 weeks with an overall avg. of 35MPG.

F that, my accord AC had a leak so it would work for a day or so after charging it then not work. I used to just shut the air vents off and roll windows down but I used to end up with very sweaty pants everywhere I went. I've got it and I'm gonna use it while its there.

Yeah, my gas only dipped 1-2 mpg less, but still averaged 32 mpg for 300 mpg, but I was really riding the fumes though.

i lost about 5mpg (still getting 30-31mpg).

i drive my car much harder now due to the a/c putting so much
burden on the engine... results in further loss in mpg.

I got just over 33mpg on my last road trip over the holiday weekend. this is with a/c blasting and a bike rack on top. I honestly think that's pretty good.

I like my mpg as much as the next man, but when the temperature is in triple digits, I'd rather not be drenched in sweat and soaking my seat fabric after driving 20 miles from work to home just to save 1-2 mpg.

Blow the cold air on me!!!

On near 100F days I noticed a 2 mpg drop on a 220 mile trip from usual with A/C full on; down to 28.4 mpg on my AT Sport. Traffic was crowded so that might be part of it.

This summer, with the a/c on constantly, I am averaging right around 37.5mpg. Funny that when the cool weather rolls around my mpg is not as good with the a/c on...with the a/c off in cold weather I run around 37 to 38 though. Don't know what the difference is due to though. But I'm happy with the mpg so far.

i dont really use AC but when i do. i just get a drop of about 2-3 mpg. not bad, but i'd rather have windows down and enjoy the peppyness of the car.

Im not sure why, but i really hate AC in the car. Cant live without it at home or at work, but theres just something about the windows down that I love, even if i cant breathe sometimes.
