Insurance rate high?

I just found out the rate for my insurance on my new Fit and was a little suprised it's so high. My rate is $554 every six months with a $1000 collision deductable. Married driver, no drivers under 25. Just curious what others are paying. Thanks

my friend literally saved 50% by switching to Geico (18 year old with 2 speeding tickets)... he has a 1998 Jeep cherokee, Allstate was charging him $260 a month, Geico is $200 a month not including a $50 good student discount... so $150 a month.

$1000 for the year in Los Angeles. I was paying $2,700 a year for my Mustang beforehand, so I win.

I hope so I just get a little sticker shock when I see $200/month for one vehicle.

Surprised by how cheap it was here in eastern PA. Turns out the 08 Fit is only about $40 more (6 mon) than the family's 03 Mazda Protege 5. Same coverage for both. Go figure...

$320 every 6 months... 35 married clean record. Texas rates just went up across the board though. I saw and increase of $52 every 6 months on my minivan and $40 every 6 months on my motorcycle.
