No help from mommy/daddy
First vehicles I ever drove were these big honkin John Deere and Massey Ferguson Tractors, even before I drove a car. Then I drove an M60 Tank for a while, it had Low, High and Reverse.
First car I owned and drove was the Honda Accord in around 1983. Then I had mostly Hondas for the past several years. and traded in an 02 Civic Coupe for the 09 Fit.
The car I passed along to my 17-year-old son is a 1995 Toyota Camry LE with 120K miles on it. It's been well cared for and still has a lot of life left in it. It still looks good, too, when he remembers to wash it.
1985 Toyota Camry (Totaled in T-bone accident when hit by drunk driver)
1984 Jeep Cherokee Chief (Rolled down an embankment)
1997 Honda Accord (Traded for Fit)
1994 Honda del Sol (Being rebuilt in my garage)
2007 Honda Ridgeline (Now driven by my wife)
2001 Civic EX Sedan. Had I never owned a Honda before that, it would have been the last. It was the most soul-less vehicle I've ever driven. Of course, I had gone from a 2000 Civic Coupe from that, so that could be why.
i had a 05 pathfinder ( silver LE fully loaded)
then had a 87 honda prelude SI with a custom b20 making 230 whp ( engine blew up cause i was stupid)
then the fit
which did 300 miles before half a tank
which im still

I did not have a digital camera when I had the 1996
Ford Ranger XLT but found a similar looking picture on the internet. I also had the nice snap on cover on the bed, bed liner, window visors. Drove that sucker for 11 years with only regular maintance required. The truck never spent any time in the shop. It had over 100,000 miles on it after 11 years and was still running great when I traded it in on the Fit.

1993 Hyundai SOnata GL left stock for 8 months, then blew motor and swapped in 4G63T. then shortly after added Greddy stage 3 drag kit. making 386Whp. Blew the motor.
while I still had the Sonata I bought a 1982 Corvette (305cu.in 3 speed auto) was a totalPOS but girls in my highschool loved it. Sold it within 3 weeks once I got my insurance quote. (being 16 years old driving a vette = $6800/year insurance)
then both cars were gone and I was carless for a week.
had a 1993 Chevy Cheyenne pickup for a bit.
then bought a 2001 Civic LX when they first came out (sept 2000) had that till mid 2003 cause I couldn't stand that POS poopbox anymore. and bought a 2004 Golf GLS TDi. which got hit by a bus 7 months after. used the insurance money to just pay off the loan and bought a 1987 Mazda 323GTX that I had for 2 years untill it became too expensive to fix. then bought my wife's mother Mazda tribute off her and Imported a 1991 Nissan Pulsar GTiR from japan.
The GTiR got rear ended after putting over $12k into it. and was useless. Sold it at a $8k loss. sold the tribute cause it was too hard on Gas, bought a 2007 New beetle in late 2006. 2.5 automatic, 140amp alternator sound system on wheels. then my wife and I decided to have a baby, so we needed a family car that could fit a Baby seat so we got the Fit.
Now that she drives th Fit I also have a 1992 Accord for a winter car since the beetle does not see snow.
there was also a bunch of 323 hatchbacks in between all those as winter/beater cars.
