I have an '08 Sport. I bought new wheels and snow tires (Blizzaks) from TireRack. Because they're so expensive, I opted NOT to get TPMS sensors on the new wheels. The tech person at TireRack said I should expect to hear a chime on start-up, then the TPMS light would remain on while I drove.
I figured, OK, not a big deal, I can put up with the light being on.
I just had a garage put the snow tires on my car. Oddly enough, I don't get the chime at start-up, and the TPMS light goes off right away, along with all the other warning lights.
I bought my Fit last April, so this is the first time I've taken off the original wheels and put on the snows. I'm happy that I don't have the light, but now I'm wondering if my TPMS is working or not.
Has this happened to anybody else?

oh and I am getting 45 mpg!
This was discussed somewhere else on this forum; seems to me that the TPMS light will come on again in time.
I made the same decision you did; the TPMS sensors weren't worth another $2-3C to me.

This must be true, because last night the TPMS light went on while I was driving down the highway. I think I had about 50 miles on the snows before it came back on. The light is orangish yellow and kind of glaring. Not annoying during the day, but at night it was a bit distracting. I may cover it up with a little piece of cardboard or something similar.
solution to annoying lights... scangauge mounted on the steering column lol no more dummy lights!
