Took my first test drive today and loved it... EXCEPT that the rear view mirror was directly in my line of vision out the front. I'm a reasonably tall guy (6' 2") and I found I had to actually lean down to peer under the mirror. The mirror is a stem-mount right into the headliner and NOT a glass mount -- and the service manual shows that it should be able to be removed... but I don't know if the windshield will take an after-market glass mount mirror. Anyone else have this problem or knows of a good solution?

As a follow up.... Mounting any mirror (factory or otherwise) to the existing mirror mount will still block my view out the front. It looks like there is some kind of "black dot" decal/etching in that area of the windshield. Will a glass-mount mirror stick in that area? If so, I can remove the existing mirror & mount and put in a glass-mount one a bit higher up. Has anyone else done something similar?
