Yep that's why everything is coming off and will just keep my windows not tinted. There goes my tint money.

I got mine done a few weeks ago... 16% all around.

I've driven past a bunch of cops, and I drive all day for work, and haven't had any problems yet. So far so good.

Time will tell though. Luckily in Ohio, it's only illegal on the front 2 windows, cause you can do whatever on the back... so if I am legally obligated to lighten them up, it'll only be for those 2.

Well, the grey area on that is that the localities in VA can (and do as is the case with Fairfax County) have stricter requirements. So cops can ticket you if your vehicle in garaged in their jurisdiction, but you don't meet their locality requirements. Typically, cops will provide you with a flier alongside the ticket to inform you of local standards, and what needs to be done to avoid the vehicle registration and drivers license being suspended (Obviously that being reducing the tint). So it's a good idea to check with the locality as well for any variation to state minimums.

I tinted my fit in louisiana for $125 bucks all back and sides. 35% up front and 20% back. I could have gone illegal but there would have been no warranty. since the move to florida i want the 8" strip up front but don't feel like moving my sun pass.

be glad you don't live in my hometown. if your car was illegally tinted from the standard they would give you a razor blade if they felt like it and make you take it off right then and there. happened to a couple friends when they decided to get "mouthy".

course i drove an el camino with 5% tint all the way around and never got hassled....but i also rolled all the windows down for ANY stop and i never mouthed off to any police...even if i felt i was in the right.

also an option, get the cling on tint and throw that on top of your tint in the back. i did that in my ion and i've just gotta get off my lazy ass and get some more for my car now so on long trips it'll be super comfortable in the fit...and i can peel it off and legal like if necessary.

Anyone have problems with their TPMS after tinting?

I called a Honda dealership to see if they do any tint work, and the service guy said to not do the tint. He said he has seen a few people have problems with their TPMS after having tint work done.
