New Proud Owner of Fit.. with some questions

Hi guys! Glad to see a active forum on honda fit. I just bought a Fit last week and had been very excited since then.

Since I'm pretty new to cars, I don't have much idea about the car. But I'm pretty eager to learn or hear whatever people have to say about the car and maintanence and stuffs.. and I found this forum

In fact I'm actually looking for a picture on the engine compartment of the Fit (i-vtec) and description of each part for normal maintenance.. anyone could give some pointers?

thanks!

Regarding your question: The owner's manual should have that information.

One thing's for certain: You no longer have to need to check power steering fluid levels. Electric power steering lets you do away with that. It's one less fluid level to worry about.

Congratulations on the purchase

Thanks Type_100 Glad to join the group

Because my friend was asking me where is the power steering fluid. Got confused.. as I also saw before its using electric.

About the manual.. one main problem is the manual that comes with the car is in japanese (parallel import). So kinda stuck..

Suggest you order an owner's manual in English from your Honda dealer.

If you get into problems, let me know and I'll check if we can buy a copy from our local stealership.

Make sure you tell your dealer to check all your fluids when you first get your car. When a car is delivered to a dealer the dealer is supposed to do a PDI(Pre Delivery Inspection) on it to make sure everything is cool. My cars coolant was really low I took it back & made them check everything again.

Thanks guys, for the advices. I think I'll take it to my dealer to do the inspection, probably also ask for the manual.

P.S: My friends were all impressed by the FIT!
