In sleep mode the driver's side air bag is always engaged... There is no way to disable the driver's air bag unless you have the SRS light on. This is done by taking out the steering wheel or front seats...

To me it would just make since taht if they don't detect anything over a certain weight that nothing would happen, i can find out more if need be on this, i'm off from work this week (vacation), but i can ask one of the techs i work with abuot this.

Sure, that's what refresh mode is for! No, I don't wanna, but I was trying to come up with some example that related back to the original post. Side of the road waiting for the wrecker? Changing a tire with the rest of the family in the car? (I know, it's a Honda and will never break...)
