Halfway mark tick on gas gauge (Another gas question)

Just curious how many gallons is used at the halfway mark tick? Would it be safe to say 5.4 since a fulltank is 10.8? I'm trying to calculate my mpg since I just got the car And i'm still on my first tank of gas

All cars, and all gauges are slightly different. The only way to know for certain, on yours, is to fill it up and see!

I'm still on my first tank, too! When I got it, I stopped on my way home from the dealer and topped it off (I gave the dealer grief about it, also...) I'm at 142 miles on the tank, and still above 3/4.

Yea I don't think the dealership fills it to the max. How much was it off when you had to top it off?

Also I think California in general gets bad gas or watered down gas. I'm at 175 miles and at a little under the halfway mark. But i've mostly been driving City streets with the A/C on

DewaltDakota will become famous soon enough
The amount of ethanol in your gas will also affect mileage. More ethanol = worse mileage.

Aziatiklover - nice avatar! Mac fan over here too.

I am usually hitting about 200 miles by the half way mark (not sure if the unsprung weight of the 10 pound SSRs or the HFP muffler have anything to do with that) and I drive about 50% city and 50% freeway. I'm averaging 38 mpg, getting about 370 per tank and filling it to little over 9 gallons. 5MT, BTW. Just got done driving like a granny for the first 2000 miles though, so the MPG may go down
