We've had one Base come through for warranty work all ready here at the dealership I work at. I forgot what the reason was for them to bring the car in but the tech ended up replacing the cat. converter!! Expensive part!!!!!!!!! No Sport models have come back.

I wish we didn't have to work Saturdays but we do.

Terrible timing too, was going to get a clearbra installed AND it's a statutory holiday weekend.
Turns out there was a gap on my front skirt too since it got pretty warped. Got charged a nominal charge of $30 CAD for some minor bodywork... which isn't all too bad.

Which fuse was it? That sounds like another way to protect our cars from being stolen.

Two issues so far

First one is that the mirror button doesn't work when you push up/right diagonal. The other three diagonals work fine and when we took it in the tech said its common. I don't care enough to push it unless convinced it isn't normal =) Otherwise the mirrors work fine

Second problem is a bit more alarming, though I'm not sure if its my imagination or not. I have a MT sport (Just broke 600 KM) and recently, there have been times shifting into 2nd and 3rd (both up and down) hasn't been smooth, feels like something is catching. It doesn't always happen though so I don't know if its actually happening or not. Any opinions or similar experiences with the MT transmission?

Issues

Just wondering if anyone else has had problems with the paint on their Sport Nighthawk Black. My problem is where the the back bumper meets the side body panel. It appears the corners are rubbing together or something. I went by the dealership and they asked me to return when the service manager was there so she could take pictures and determine what to do. My center passenger air vent slider also came off track and they ordered the part. I'm getting the bumper looked at again when the part comes in. I have had no problems with gas cap light.

I have the Sport black model and have noticed no issues with the paint or body panels rubbing. Also no issues with the gas cap. Hopefully just a fluke.

Fuel Cap

Just to update,

I found a ground loose in the engine compartment. After I tightened it, the fuel cap message cleared. It had been on over a week, now it's been off over a week. If it stays off, I will post specific details of the ground location.

Magic seats

I've had my Fit Sport for a week now and now I can't get the passenger side rear seat to latch in the down (normal seating) position. Not a good thing because that's where my baby's carseat is normally latched to. I've had to move him to the driver side. Anyone else with this problem?

I've cycled the seat through its positions to see if the problem would correct itself but it did not. Any tips?

desmo-dog;
Check the floor guide and make sure something is not in the way, piece
of carpeting etc. that is in the way of the latch setting in.

Mine clicks in but does not latch such that it needs a release. I assume that it has something in case of accident to keep it in place but don't have a small child - so I can understand that if yours is the same it would concern you. Perhaps somenoe else better understands the mechanism - or ask the dealer to explain how the seat works safely.

The Fit logo on my passenger side floor mat came loose. The parts dept simply replaced them for me.

Trivial warranty issue but: Just had my first (oil change) service today at 50% oil life, 3900 miles. I pointed out that the sun visor on the drivers side is 'sloppy' doesn't stay up against the windshield, just hangs there, limply like a ..... After 30 minutes in the waiting room I got, "your Fit is ready, service is done, we put it through the carwash for you, no there's no charge for the first service and your new visor should be in on Thursday." So far I like my local dealer ( Coggins Honda, St Augustine, Fl) and love my Storm Silver Metallic MT Fit.

Odd situation, I noticed that the passenger side rear suspension sits lower than the rest of the vehicle (lower than the driver's side). I will be bringing it in soon for service and have it checked then, but I even had someone ask me (while looking at the passenger side) why I only lowered the rear of the car...anyway was wondering if anyone else had noticed this.

Extended Warranty?

I'm on the verge of ordering my VBP AT/Sport Has anyone ordered the Honda Care extended warranty through the dealer or online? My credit union says Honda will offer an extension near the end of the standard warranty period and that's the way to go. I keep my cars 7-10 years. Thoughts?

Thanks GettiNaFit. Any idea if adding a sunroof down the road might impact the extended warranty?
